Mapping Rules

Select the “Rules Mapping” tab to map the rule to the customer, and aircraft model combination, in the "Manage Reliability Alert Definition" page..
Note: The “Rules Mapping” tab will be available only if you have selected Customer, Model or Customer – Model in the “Rules for” field.
To retrieve rules that you want to map, specify the following search criteria.
Customer # |
To retrieve rules mapped to specific customer, enter the customer #. Help facility available |
Aircraft Model # |
To retrieve rules mapped to specific aircraft model, select the aircraft model from the drop-down list box. The drop-down list box displays all the Active model defined in Aircraft. |
Model Type |
To retrieve rule mapped to specific model types, select the model type from the drop-down list box. The drop-down list box displays all the Active model types defined in Aircraft. The search retrieves all the rules applicable to all the aircraft models grouped under the model type. |
Rule ID / Description |
To retrieve the rule with specific ID/description, specify the rule ID/description. You can enter the ID in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the rules with similar ID/description that you input here. |
Effective From |
To retrieve rules that are effective during specific period, enter the start date of the effective period. The search retrieves rules with effective dates between the specified Effective From and Effective To dates. |
Effective To |
To retrieve rules that are effective during specific period, enter the end date of the effective period. The search retrieves rules with effective dates between the specified Effective From and Effective To dates. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton.
Enter the following in the multiline to map rules.
Customer # |
The customer mapped to the rule. The rule becomes valid for all components /aircraft owned by the customer. Help facility available |
Aircraft Model # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the aircraft model mapped to the rule. The rule becomes valid for all aircraft of the aircraft model. |
Model Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the model type to be mapped to the mapped. The rule becomes valid for all the aircraft of all aircraft models categorized under the model type. |
Rule ID |
Use the drop-down list box to select the rule ID under which the rule must be categorized. |
Eff. From Date |
The start date of the period during which the rule will be effective on the maintenance object. |
Eff. To Date |
The end date of the period during which the rule will be effective on the maintenance object. |
The multiline displays the following.
Created by |
The login user who created the mapping record. |
Created Date |
The date on which the login user created the mapping record. |
Last Modified by |
The login user who most recently modified the mapping record. |
Last Modified Date & Time |
The date on which the login user most recently modified the mapping record. |
Click the “Save Mapping” pushbutton to save the mapping details.
To proceed carry out the following:
Select the" Rule Definition" tab.
