Monthly Aircraft Technical Despatch Reliability
This report provides information on the technical despatch reliability of a reliability fleet.
This report considers operational interruptions including Delays, Cancellations, Substitutions, Air Turn Backs, Ground Turn Backs, and Diversions for computing the month-wise rate of technical despatch reliability of aircraft associated with the reliability fleet. Graphical representation of information is also available in the report.
The months for which information is displayed is based on the Analysis Period attribute in the Set Options activity. For example, the March 2008 report with the Analysis Period set to ‘12’ would show data beginning April, 2007 to March, 2008.
Report input: You must select the month and year and, the reliability fleet for the report in the Generate Reliability Report page. For further information, see the “Generate Reliability Report” topic.
Report output: This report is an Excel sheet and consists of one work sheet- Monthly report. The contents of this worksheet include,
This table displays the month-wise count of the following operational interruptions.
Departures |
The total number of revenue departures made by all aircraft associated with the selected reliability fleet. |
Delays–Non Technical |
The total number of journey log legs with ‘Flight Status’ as ‘Delayed’ and the ‘Flight Ops. Type’ as ‘Test flight’ / ‘Training’ / ‘Ferry’ / ‘Positioning’ / ‘Others’. |
Delays-Technical |
The total number of journey log legs with ‘Flight Status’ as ‘Delayed’ and the ‘Flight Ops. Type’ as ‘Regular’. |
Cancellations |
The sum total of journey log legs with ‘Flight Status’ as ‘Cancelled’ and journey log legs with Flight Status as “Delayed’, with delay duration over the ‘Delay Limit’ specified in the ‘Setup Reliability Fleet’ activity. |
Substitutions |
The total number of journey log legs with ‘Flight Status’ as ‘Substituted’. |
Air Turn Backs |
The total number of journey log legs with ‘Flight Status’ as ‘Air Turned back’. |
Ground Turn Backs |
The total number of journey log legs with ‘Flight Status’ as ‘Ground Turned back’. |
Diversions |
The total number of journey log legs with ‘Flight Status’ as ‘Diverted’. |
Total Count |
The sum of ‘Delays–Technical’, ‘Cancellations’, ‘Substitutions’, ‘Air Turn Backs’, ‘Ground Turn Backs’ and ‘Diversions’. |
The table also displays the following for the reliability fleet.
Despatch Reliability |
The rate of technical despatch reliability of the reliability fleet for the reported month. 100 - ((Total Operational Interruptions/ Number of Departures)* 100) |
Target Despatch Reliability |
The target despatch reliability for the reliability fleet, as defined in the ‘Setup Reliability Fleet’ activity. |
Monthly Technical Despatch Reliability
This graph helps to analyze and compare the pre-defined target despatch reliability rate with that of the actual despatch reliability recorded for the reliability fleet for each month.
X-Axis |
Months |
Y-Axis |
§ Rate of technical despatch reliability for the reliability fleet for the month. This value is derived using the formula, 100 - ((Total Operational Interruptions/ Number of Departures)* 100) § Rate of target despatch reliability as defined in the ‘Setup Reliability Fleet’ activity. |
Number Of Technical Delays–System ATA-wise
This graph depicts the System ATA-wise count of technical delays for a reliability fleet for the month of the report.
X-Axis |
The System ATAs defined in the ‘Set ATA Alert Levels’ page for the reliability fleet. |
Y-Axis |
The count of technical delays for the System ATAs with ‘Flight Status’ as ‘Delayed’ and the ‘Flight Ops. Type’ as ‘Regular’ |
Rate Of Technical Delays-System ATA-wise
This graph depicts the System ATA-wise rate of technical delays for a reliability fleet, for the month of the report.
X-Axis |
The System ATAs defined in the ‘Set ATA Alert Levels’ page for the reliability fleet. |
Y-Axis |
The rate of technical delays reported against System ATAs in the reported month. This value is calculated using the formula, Count of Technical Delays per System ATA for the month for the Fleet/ Count of Technical Delays for the month for the Fleet
|
Monthly Rate Of Technical Delays Per 100 Or 1000 Departures
This graph depicts the month-wise rate of technical delays and six-month running rate of technical delays per 100 or 1000 departures, for a reliability fleet. The six-month running rate of technical delays includes the technical delays for six months preceding and including the reported month. For example, in the report for June 2008, with Analysis Period set to ‘’8”, the six-month running rate of delay for January 2008 would include delays for the months August 2007 to January 2008.
Note: The rate of technical delays would be calculated per 100 or 1000 departures based on the attribute defined for the Analysis Option - ‘Rate Calculation Factor for FH/FC’ available in the Set Options activity.
X-Axis |
Months. |
Y-Axis |
§ The rate of technical delays reported for the fleet for the month If ‘Rate Calculation Factor for FH/FC’ is ‘100’ then, this value is derived using the formula, (Sum of count of delay for a fleet in the month/ Count of revenue departures for a fleet in the month) * 100 If ‘Rate Calculation Factor for FH/FC’ is ‘1000’ then, this value is derived using the formula, (Sum of count of delay for a fleet in the month/ Count of revenue departures for a fleet in the month) * 1000 § The six-month running rate of technical delays for the fleet If ‘Rate Calculation Factor for FH/FC’ is ‘100’ then, this value is derived using the formula, (Sum of count of delay for a fleet for six months/ Count of revenue departures for six months) * 100 If ‘Rate Calculation Factor for FH/FC’ is ‘1000’ then, this value is derived using the formula, (Sum of count of delay for a fleet for six months/ Count of revenue departures for six months) * 1000 |
This graph depicts the month-wise total delay duration in minutes caused by technical delays per revenue FC, for a reliability fleet.
Note: Any delay defined against the delay code with the ‘Delay Category’ as ‘Technical and A/C Equipment’ is considered as a technical delay.
X-Axis |
Months. |
Y-Axis |
The total delay duration recorded against the fleet for the month. This value is derived using the formula, Count of technical delays for the fleet in a month/ Revenue FC recorded for the fleet for the month |
