Aircraft Monthly Utilization Report
This report displays information on the monthly utilization of aircraft associated with a reliability fleet. It lists the indicative operational parameters at fleet and aircraft levels, on a monthly basis.
The months for which information is displayed is based on the ‘Analysis Period’ attribute in the Set Options activity. For example, the March 2008 report with the Analysis Period set to ‘12’ would show data beginning April, 2007 to March, 2008.
This report is an Excel sheet and consists of five work sheets.
Note: In the report, Flight Cycles in column names is substituted by Parameter Description of the Parameter Flying Hours mapped to Base Parameter FH in the Set Base Parameters activity of Aircraft.
This worksheet displays graphs that depict the monthly utilization of aircraft at the reliability fleet level.
Total Flight Hours and Cycles since New: This graph shows the sum of flight hours and flight cycles recorded against each aircraft associated to the reliability fleet since the time of its Induction into service till the end of the month of the report.

The system computes the daily average utilization of aircraft in terms of Flight Hours per Flight Cycles using the following method, Average Daily Aircraft Utilization (FH per FC) = Total Number of FH for a month/ Number of Departures for a month |
This worksheet displays a month-wise summary of the indicative operational parameters reported against all the aircraft in the reliability fleet for a predefined period.
The Indicative Operational Parameters table displays the following details:
Monthly Number of Aircraft in the Fleet at end of Month |
The number of aircraft associated in “Active” status with a reliability fleet, at the end of the month. |
No. of Calendar Days this Month |
The number of days in the month. |
Average monthly Number of Aircraft in Service * |
The number of unique flight dates recorded in the month for the reliability fleet. This value is computed using the formula, Number of In-Service Aircraft Days in a fleet / Number of Aircraft in the fleet |
Total monthly Flight Hours |
The sum of total FH recorded in the month against every Aircraft Reg # attached to the reliability fleet. |
Total monthly Flight Cycles |
The sum of total FC recorded in the month against every Aircraft Reg # attached to the reliability fleet. |
Average daily Aircraft Utilization (Flight Hours) |
Sum of Total Number of FH of all the aircraft attached to the reliability fleet / Number of In-Service Aircraft Days of the fleet, recorded in the month. |
Average daily Aircraft Utilization (Flight Cycles) |
Sum of Total Number of FC of all the aircraft attached to the reliability fleet / Number of In-Service Aircraft Days of the fleet, recorded in the month. |
Average monthly Flight Hours per Flight Cycle |
Average Monthly FH recorded for all the aircraft associated to the selected reliability fleet/ Average Monthly FC recorded for all the aircraft associated to the selected reliability fleet. |
Total monthly Revenue Departures |
The number of journey logs generated with the Flight Ops. Type as “Regular” in the Flight Log component. |
12 months Aircraft Utilization |
The past 12 months average of FH for the month, including the month of the report. |
The Aircraft Information table displays the following details of the aircraft mapped to the reliability fleet:
Aircraft # |
The registration # of the aircraft. |
Model # |
The model # of the aircraft. |
MSN # |
The manufacturer serial # of the aircraft. |
Aircraft Group |
The aircraft group to which the aircraft is mapped. |
Configuration Class |
The configuration class defined for the aircraft. |
Engine Part # |
The part # of the engine whose ‘Position Code Status’ is set as ‘Active’ and the ‘Position Type’ as ‘Engine’ in the ‘Build Aircraft Configuration’. If multiple parts are available, then all the part #s will be displayed separated by a semi-colon. |
APU Part # |
The part # of the APU whose ‘Position Code Status’ is set as ‘Active’ and the ‘Position Type’ as ‘APU’ in the ‘Build Aircraft Configuration’. If multiple parts are available, then all the part #s will be displayed separated by a semi-colon. |

Monthly Flight Hours and Flight Cycles per aircraft
This worksheet displays month-wise total of FH and FC recorded against each aircraft in the reliability fleet. The report displays information for the duration specified in the “Set Options” activity. For example, if the “Period” field is set as 12 in the Set Options activity, the report for April, 2008 will display information for the months between April, 2007 to March, 2007.
Total Monthly Non–Revenue Departures per aircraft
This worksheet displays month-wise total of non–revenue departures made by each aircraft in the reliability fleet. This is the number of journey logs created with the Flight Ops Type other than “Regular” in the Flight Log component. The report displays information for the duration specified in the “Set Options” activity. For example, if the “Period” field is set as 6 in the Set Options activity, the report for April, 2008 will display information for the months between October, 2007 to March, 2007.
This worksheet displays the cumulative FH and FC recorded against each aircraft in the reliability fleet since its induction into service till the month of the report.
