Maintaining asset identifier for facilities

This page allows you to maintain asset identifier for facilities.

Select the “Maintain Asset Identifier for Facilities” link under the “Maintenance Asset Tracker” business component.

The “Maintain Asset Identifier for Facilities” page appears.

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a facility. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Facility Type	Use the drop-down list box and select the type of facility. The system lists the options “Tools”, “Equipment” and “Others”. By default, this field is set to “Tools”.
Facility Category	Use the drop-down list box to select the facility category. The system lists all the quick codes of type “Facility Category” defined in the “Work Center” business component.
Facility #	The number identifying the facility for which you wish to define or update the asset identifier details (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the facility number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character.
Facility Object #	The code identifying the facility object associated to the facility (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the facility object code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character.
Work Center #	The work center to which the facility is associated (Alphanumeric, 30).
Part #	The part number of the facility (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all parts that are similar to the number entered here.
Maintenance Base	Use the drop-down-list box to select the organizational unit to which the facilities and tools is associated. The system lists all those organization units that are defined in the “Work Center” and “Facility Management” business components, if the current business component interacts with the “Work Center” and “Facility Management” business components. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the facilities irrespective of the maintenance base selected here.
Associated ?	Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the facility is associated to the asset identifier or not. If the “Modification of Asset No. for Maintenance Assets” option is set to “Yes” in the “Set Options” activity, the system lists the options “Yes” and “No”. Else, the system displays “No” in this field.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.

The system displays the search results according to the filter criteria specified.

Note: If the “Facility Management” business component is not deployed, the system retrieves and displays the “Facility Object Code” along with the “OU Code”, from the “Work Center” business component. This is irrespective of the value selected in the “Associated?” field.

Note: If the “Facility Management” business component is deployed, the system retrieves and displays the “Facility Object Code” along with OU code, “Part #”, “Serial #” and “Lot #”, from the “Facility Management” business component. This is , irrespective of the value selected in the “Associated?” field.

The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

Facility Type	The type to which the facility object belongs, which could be “Tools”, “Equipment” or “Others”.
Facility Object Code	The unique code used to identifying each facility objects.
Facility #	The number identifying the facility to which the facility object belong for which you wish to define or update the asset identifier details.
Facility Category	The category to which the facility belongs.
Part #	The part number of the facility.
Serial #	The serial number of the part.
Lot #	The lot number to which the part belongs.
Maintenance Base	The organizational unit to which the facility or tool is associated.

Enter the following fields to associate an asset identifier to the facility:

Asset No.

The asset number that you wish to associate to the facility object (Alphanumeric, 18). Ensure that the asset number is already defined in the “Asset Capitalization” business component, if the “Maintenance Asset Tracker” business component interacts with the “Asset Capitalization” business component.

Asset Tag

The asset tag number that you wish to associate to the facility object (Integer). Ensure that the asset tag is already defined for the asset number in the “Asset Capitalization” business component and is in “Active” status, if the “Maintenance Asset Tracker” business component interacts with the “Asset Capitalization” business component..

Note: Data entry in these fields is mandatory, if you leave the “Default Option” group box blank.

If the “Sharing of Asset No.” option is set as “Not Allowed” in the “Set Options” activity, ensure that the same asset number and asset tag combination is not repeated in the multiline.

If the option “Asset FB Check with Holding Unit’s Book” is set as “Allowed” in the “Set Options” activity, ensure that the finance book of asset number and asset tag combination and the finance book of the planning base of the aircraft are same.

The system displays the following fields:

Finance Book	The finance book associated to the asset number.
Cost Center	The cost center associated to the asset number.
Asset Location code	The code identifying the asset location.
Book Value	The book value of the facility.
Tag Status	The tag status of the facility.
Last Modified By	The login ID of the user who last modified the asset identifier details.
Last Modified Date	The date on which the asset identifier details were last modified.
Object Created At	The organizational unit in which the facility object is created.

Enter the following fields in the “Default Option” group box:

Asset No.

The default asset number that you wish to specify for all the rows in the multiline (Alphanumeric, 18).

Asset Tag

The default asset tag that you wish to specify for all the rows in the multiline (Integer).

Help facility available.

Click the “Update Asset ID” pushbutton to update the asset identifier details for facilities.

Associate an asset identifier to a facility

You can associate an asset identifier (asset number and asset tag combination) to a facility.

Provide “Search Criteria” to search for the facility.
Click the “Search” pushbutton.
Enter the “Asset No.” and “Asset Tag” fields in the “Search Results” multiline.
Click the “Update Asset ID” pushbutton.
