Maintaining carrier account information

You can capture the account information of the shipping carrier / agency for internal shipping requirements. Tell me more.

Select the “Maintain Carrier Account Information” link under the “Logistics Common Master” business component.

The “Maintain Carrier Account Information” page appears.

Enter the following in the “Account Information” multiline:

Carrier	Use the drop-down list box and select the Carrier that needs to be integrated with the Shipping Note. Mandatory. The system lists “FedEx” if it is in ‘Active’ status and also lists other ‘Inactive’ values that are saved currently. You must select an ‘Active’ Carrier.
Shipping Warehouse #	Use the drop-down list and select the warehouse from where the parts are shipped. Mandatory. The system lists the values “All”, “All Other Warehouses” and all the ‘Active’ warehouses mapped to the 'Shipping Note' transaction in “Warehouse - Transactions Allowed” screen of the “Storage Administration” business component. Ensure that the Shipping Warehouse value “All” and “All Other Warehouses/Specific Warehouse #” cannot coexist in ‘Active’ Status. The Shipping Warehouse other than “All” and “All Other Warehouses” selected in the drop-down, must be in ‘Active’ status for all the ‘Active’ records in the multiline.
Account Number	The account number of the carrier, specific to the Shipping Warehouse. Mandatory.
Freight Account Number	The account number provided by the carrier specifically for freight shipments.
Meter Number	The meter number of the carrier. Meter number must be entered, if the Carrier is selected as “FedEx”.
User Name	The user name for the carrier account. Mandatory.
Password	The password for the carrier account. Mandatory.
Remarks	Any additional remarks related to the carrier.
Status	Use the drop-down list box and select the status of the Carrier Account. The system lists ‘Active’ and ‘Inactive’ and defaults “Active”. You can select only one Account as an ‘Active’ account for a carrier.

The multiline displays the following:

Created By	The login user who created the carrier account information.
Created Date	The date on which the carrier account information was created.
Last Modified By	The login user who most recently modified the carrier account information.
Last Modified Date	The date on which the carrier account information was most recently modified.

Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the details of the carrier account information.

Note: The system displays an error message, if any concurrent user attempts to modify the carrier account information.

The account information cannot be deleted in the multiline.

Ensure that only one record is in ‘Active’ status in the multiline for the same combination of Carrier and Shipping Warehouse #.
