Managing customer specific RSPL
This activity enables you to retrieve the RSPL information for a specific A/C model, make the modifications and save the details at a particular Customer -A/C model level.
Select the “Manage Customer
Specific RSPL” activity in the “Customer” business component.
The “Manage Customer Specific RSPL” page appears.
Enter the following fields
in the “Customer Details” section:
Customer # |
A unique code identifying the customer for whom the RSPL details must be entered. Mandatory. Note that the system defaults this field with the customer code from either 'Create customer record' or 'Edit customer record' from which the 'Manage Customer Specific RSPL' link is launched. Help facility enabled |
A/C Model # |
The number identifying the aircraft model for which the RSPL details must be entered. Mandatory. Ensure that the number manually entered in this field is a valid A/C Model # as defined in the Aircraft master. Help facility enabled |
RSPL Rev. # |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the revision number of the RSPL for which the details are to be retrieved. The system lists all the revision numbers available for the given Customer # - A/C Model # combination By default the system leaves this field blank. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the RSPL- Rev# from Active to Inactive or vice versa. You can select from the following options: · Fresh · Active · Inactive By default the system leaves this field blank. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Spare Part List” multiline:
Part # |
The number identifying the Part #. This part number must be already defined in the “Part Administration” business component and must be unique to the multiline. Help facility available |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
Enter the following fields
in the “Spare Part List” section:
A/C Reg. # |
The registration number of the aircraft for which the Part details for RSPL are being entered. Help facility enabled |
MTBUR |
The Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removals for the spare part #. This value is defaulted from the MTBUR set for the respective A/C Model # in ‘Manage Recommended Spares Part list” activity under configuration management. |

in the “Spare Part List” section:
Scrap Rate (in %) |
The Scrap rate of the part # in percentage. This value is defaulted from the Scrap rate (in %) set for the respective A/C Model # in ‘Manage Recommended Spares Part list” activity under configuration management. Note: The value entered should be greater than 0 and less than 100. Help facility enabled |
QPA |
The quantity of spare part to be available per aircraft. This value is defaulted from the QPA set for the respective A/C Model # in ‘Manage Recommended Spares Part list” activity under configuration management. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Spare Part List” multiline:
UOM |
The unit of measurement for QPA. This value is defaulted from the UOM set for the respective A/C Model # in ‘Manage Recommended Spares Part list” activity under configuration management.. |
Enter the following fields
in the “Spare Part List” section:
BFE? |
Use the drop-down list box to select whether the spare part is BFE (Buyer Furnished Equipment). Mandatory. You can select from the options ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. This value is defaulted from the BFE? set for the respective A/C Model # in ‘Manage Recommended Spares Part list” activity under configuration management. |

NHA Part # |
The parent part effective for the spare part. This implies that the spare part can be attached to this Next Higher Assembly (NHA) part. This value is defaulted from the NHA Part# set for the respective A/C Model # in ‘Manage Recommended Spares Part list” activity under configuration management |
Enter the following fields
in the “Spare Part List” section:
Qty/NHA |
The quantity of the Spare Part to be available in the NHA Part. This value is defaulted from the Qty/NHA set for the respective A/C Model # in ‘Manage Recommended Spares Part list” activity under configuration management |
The system displays the following fields in the “Spare Part List” multiline:
NHA UOM |
The unit of measurement for the quantity of the Spare Part to be available in the NHA |
Mean Shop Processing Time |
The Mean Shop Processing Time for the spare part #. |
MSPT UOM |
The unit of measurement for the MSPT |
Part Classification |
The classification of the part selected |
Essentiality Code |
The Essentiality code of the part selected |
Power Plan Part |
The field specifies whether the selected part is a power plant part or not |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter to which the spare part belongs. |
Source Document Type |
Indicates the type of source document |
Source Document # |
The number identifying the source document |
Enter the following fields
in the “Spare Part List” section:
Notes |
Brief note on the maintenance of QPA. |
Remarks |
Any Remarks pertaining to the maintenance of QPA. |
User Defined Field 1 |
Any information given by the user with reference to the RSPL at customer level By default the system leaves this field blank. |
User Defined Field 2 |
Any information given by the user with reference to the RSPL at customer level. By default the system leaves this field blank. |
Select the “Get Latest
Info” pushbutton to retrieve the RSPL details defaulted with values defined
in the 'Maintain RSPL' screen under the 'Aircraft' Business Component
against the selected A/C model.
The part details from the last revision in active status against the 'A/C model' from the 'Manage RSPL' screen is retrieved in the multiline against the Customer#-A/C model # combination on click of 'Get Latest Info.' button
When the user modifies
the values defaulted in the multiline , on click of save, the details
are saved against the customer#-A/C model# combination with the Rev# -
0 and status as 'Fresh'.
Select the “Confirm” Pushbutton
Select the “Maintain Alternate
Part Nos” link at the bottom of the page to the screen from Activity 'Maintain
Alternate Part No's ' under the Component ' Part Administration' under
the Business Process 'Inventory' is launched.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” section:
