Part Controlled Data Change
Prior to evaluating/releasing/initiating field operations, you must process all open Part Controlled Data Change transactions involving part control type change, if the "Part Control Type change to Serial / Serial-Lot" process parameter under the category Part Data Change in the Set Inventory Process Parameters activity is set as "0" (Not Allowed).
Click the “Release” pushbutton to release aircraft or work center to the offline area.
Note: For the Offline Area # selected, this pushbutton is enabled in the main base only if the Operational Status of the Offline Area is “Operational. However this button is disabled always in the offline base (i.e. Usage Mode: Offline).
Release of Aircraft Reg # or Workcenter # is allowed only if the Operational status of the offline area is “Operational".
The system does not allow Release of Aircraft Reg # or Workcenter # on conditions mentioned in the table below:

Click the “Return” pushbutton to return the aircraft / work center.
Note: This button is displayed only in the offline base and always disabled in the main base.
The ‘Move. Status’ of the Aircraft Reg # or Work Center # must not be “Returned”
On successful return, the ‘Move. Status’ of the Aircraft Reg # or Work Center # is changed from “Evaluated-Return” to “Returned”.
Upon return of the work center to the main base,
The Mode of Usage for warehouses belonging to the work center that has returned to the main base is set as “Online”.
Mapping of transactions to these warehouses is restored as per the definition in the Storage Administration component.

Initiate Field Operations
Click the “Initiate Field Ops” pushbutton to initiate offline operations.
Note: This pushbutton is disabled if the Operational Status of the Offline Area is “Operational”.
On successful evaluation of the offline area, you can view the list of pending transactions available in “Open” status for the aircraft or the work center. Field operations can be initiated only after addressing the impacted transactions, by clicking the “Initiate Field Ops” pushbutton. Initiation of field operations is allowed only on the following conditions:
Usage Mode: Online
Operational Status: Blank or Initiation-Pending or Terminated or Force Terminated
Initiation of field operations is not allowed for the following conditions:
Usage Mode: Online
Operational Status: Initiated
On successful initiation of offline area, following updates happens:
Operational Status : Initiation-Pending/Blank/Terminated/Force-Terminated --->Initiated
System generates an Data Extract / Load request # for Initialization
If the Operational Status is changed to “Initiated”, the system updates the ‘Mode of Usage’ for the aircraft(s) and workcenter(s) of the offline area as “Offline”
On successful completion of data package cut performed by the Ramco CDT for generated data package, the following update happens for the entity ‘Aircraft Reg #’ or ‘Work Center’:
Operational Status: Initiated ---> Operational
Move. Status: Evaluated-Release ---> Released
If the Operational Status is changed to “Operational”, data package is extracted to a specific path for (i) Identified tables of pertinent transactions, (ii) all set options tables, (iii) all process parameter tables, (iv) all master data table and (v) tables of Identified entity i.e. Aircraft Reg # and / or Work Center #. The extracted data package is available for the database administrator / IT analyst to initialize laptop to prepare for Offline Configuration system.
On initiating field operations, the system updates the following for the Offline Area’s first drawn package:

Terminate / Force Terminate Actions
Once all the aircraft(s) and workcenter(s) associated to offline area is returned, user can terminate the offline area from main base. You can terminate the operations of the entire offline area of aircraft / work center forcedly, when required. Force termination is done only in main base (i.e. Usage Mode: Online). You can perform the following steps to carry out force termination.
Check the following box:
Force Terminate |
Check this box if you wish to forcefully terminate the operations of the offline area or aircraft / work center forcedly. |
Check the following box:
Comments |
Any additional comments related to force termination. (Alphanumeric, 2000). Mandatory. |
Click the “Terminate Field Ops” pushbutton to terminate the field operations.
Note: For the Offline Area # selected, this pushbutton is disabled in the main base if the Operational Status of the Offline Area is Blank / “Terminated’ / “Force Terminated."
Note: The “Initiate Field Operations” and the “Terminate Actions” sections are disabled in the offline base.
On termination of the offline area, the following status update happens for the entity ‘Aircraft Reg #’ or ‘Work Center’:
Operational Status: Initiated (or) Operational ---> Terminated
Move. Status: Returned ---> No Change
On force termination of the offline area, the following status update happens for the entity ‘Aircraft Reg #’ or ‘Work Center’:
Operational Status: Initiation-Pending / Initiated / Operational ---> Force Terminated
Move. Status: Evaluated-Release / Released / Evaluated-Returned / Returned ---> Force Terminated.
If the Operational Status is changed to “Force Terminated”, the system updates the ‘Mode of Usage’ for the aircraft(s) and workcenter(s) of the offline area as “Offline”.
To proceed carry out the following:
Select the “Transfer Data” link at the bottom of the page to transfer transaction data between main base and offline base.
