Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

In this page, you can view the details of the pilot report analysis for the selected fleet.  Tell me more.

The “View Fleet Pilot Report Analysis” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date field is displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

The system displays the following fields in the “Reliability Fleet Details” group box:

Reliability Fleet #

The number identifying the reliability fleet for which you wish to view the pilot report analysis.

Fleet Description

The textual description of the fleet.

Zoom facility available

Data Available Upto

The last date until which the pilot report details are transferred from “Aircraft History” business component to “Aircraft Reliability” business component.

Reliability Calendar #

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the reliability calendar. The system displays all the Reliability Calendar codes that are in “Closed" or “Confirmed” status and to which the reliability fleet number is mapped in the “Reliability Setup” business component.

The system displays the following details in the “Reliability Calendar Details” group box:

Calendar Description

The textual description of the reliability calendar.

Zoom facility available

Start Date

The starting date from which the reliability calendar begins.

End Date

The date on which the reliability calendar ends.

Period #

Use the drop-down list box to select the number identifying the period for which you wish to view the pilot report analysis. The system displays all the reliability period codes that are in “Closed” or “Confirmed” status and to which the reliability fleet number and calendar code are mapped in the “Reliability Setup” business component.

The system displays the following details in the “Period Details” group box:

Period - From

The starting date of the period.

Period - To

The ending date of the period.

From Year

The year from which you wish to view the pilot report analysis.

To Year

The year unto which you wish to view the pilot report analysis.

Month From

Use the drop-down list box to select the month from which you wish to view the pilot report analysis.

Month To

Use the drop-down list box to select the month unto which you wish to view the pilot report analysis.

View By

Use the drop-down list box to select the view option. The report can be based either on the “Reliability Period” or on the “User Defined Period”.

Note: If this field is set to ”User Defined Period”, then you need to enter From Year” and” To Year” in such a manner that “From Year” should not be greater than the ”To year”. If the ”From Year” and the ”To Year” are the same, ”From Month” should not be later than ”To Month”.

The system displays the following details in the “Confidence Limit Details” group box:

Confidence Limit 1

The confidence limit chosen in the “Set Options” activity to calculate the First Upper Confidence Limit.

Confidence Limit 2

The confidence limit chosen in the “Set Options” activity to calculate the Second Upper Confidence Limit.

The system displays the following in the “Pilot Report Analysis Summary” multiline:

ATA #

The number identifying the ATA chapter for which the Pilot Report analysis is displayed.

Chapter Description

The textual description of the ATA chapter.

Mean

The average number of discrepancies reported for the ATA for the particular reliability period.

First UCL

The first upper confidence limit, which is calculated, based on the value selected in the Confidence Limit 1 in the “Set Options” activity.

For example, if the selected period is of six months from Jan'00 to Jun'00 and if the number of discrepancies (ATA# occurrences) for the period are 12, 5, 8, 2, 5, 4 across all aircraft in that fleet, then Mean = (12+5+8+2+5+4)/6 = 6. (where  the denominator is the number of months  in the period for which the ATA data is taken.

Second UCL

The second upper confidence limit, which is calculated, based on the value selected in the Confidence Limit 2 in the “Set Options” activity.

For example if the mean = 6 and the co-efficient of confidence limit is 1.645 and standard deviation is 3.5214 then First UCL = 11.7926

Note: The upper confidence limit is calculated as follows:

Mean + Coefficient of Confidence Limit * Standard Deviation.

A    Standard Deviation = Square root [{sum of ((x-Mean) power 2)} / {No. of months in the period for which the ATA data is taken - 1}]. For example, if the selected period is of six months starting from Jan'00 and ending in Jun'00 and if the number of discrepancies(ATA# occurrences) for the period are 12, 5, 8, 2, 5, 4 across all aircraft in that fleet, then the mean is  = (12+5+8+2+5+4)/6 = 6. Standard Deviation =  3.5214
