Viewing the monthly pilot report analysis

In this page, you can view the monthly pilot report analysis details for the selected fleet. Tell me more.

Select the “View Monthly Pilot Report Analysis Details” link at the bottom of the “View Fleet Pilot Report Analysis” page.

The “View Monthly Pilot Report Analysis Details” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The system displays the following fields in the “Reliability Fleet Details” group box:

Reliability Fleet #

The number identifying the reliability fleet for which you wish to view the pilot report analysis.

Fleet Description

The textual description of the fleet.

Zoom facility available

Data Available Upto

The last date until which the pilot report details are transferred from “Aircraft History” business component to “Aircraft Reliability” business component.

The system displays the following fields in the “Time Horizon Details” group box:

Start Date	The start date of the reliability calendar.
End Date	The end date of the reliability calendar.

Enter the following in the “ATA Details” group box:

ATA #

Use the drop-down list box to select the number identifying the ATA chapter on which the discrepancy is reported. The system lists all the ATA chapter numbers defined in the “Aircraft” business component.

The system displays the following fields in the “ATA Details” group box:

Chapter Description

The textual description of the ATA chapter.

Zoom facility available

Click the “View Pilot Report Summary & Monthwise Details” pushbutton to view the monthly pilot report analysis details.

The system displays the following fields in the “Pilot Report Analysis Summary” group box:

Mean	The average number of discrepancies per month reported for the ATA for the particular reliability period.
First UCL	The first upper control limit, which is calculated, based on the value selected in the Confidence Limit 1 in the “Set Options” activity of the current business component.
Second UCL	The second upper control limit, which is calculated, based on the value selected in the Confidence Limit 2 in the “Set Options” activity of the current business component.
Confidence Limit 1	The confidence limit chosen in the “Set Options” activity to calculate the First Upper Control Limit.
Confidence Limit 2	The confidence limit chosen in the “Set Options” activity to calculate the Second Upper control Limit.

Note: The Mean, First UCL, Second UCL are calculated based on the number of discrepancies for the fleet, for the specified period.

For example, if you have selected a period of length 6 months from Jan'00 to Jun'00 and the number of discrepancies for the period are 12,5,8,2,5,4 across all aircraft in that fleet, the mean is calculated as follows:

Mean = (12+5+8+2+4+7) / 6 = 6 (where 6, the denominator, is the number of months in the period for which the discrepancies are taken –minus 1, i.e., 6-1).

The Standard deviation (S.D) is calculated as follows:

Square root [{sum of ((x-Mean) power 2)} / {No. of months in the period for which discrepancies are taken - 1}].

In this example,

S.D = 3.5214

The Upper Control Limit, UCL, is calculated as follows:

Mean + Coeffcient of Confidence Limit * S.D.

Confidence Limits 1 & 2 are taken from 'Set Options' in the Aircraft Reliability component.

If Conf Limit 1 = 0.90 and Conf Limit 2 = 0.95, then, First UCL = 6 + 1.645 * 3.5214 = 11.79264 and (7) Second UCL = 6 + 1.96 * 3.5214 = 12.90187

The system displays the following in the “Pilot Report Analysis Details” multiline:

Month	The month for which the pilot analysis details are displayed.
ATA #	The number identifying the ATA chapter number.
Chapter Description	The textual description of the ATA chapter.
Discrepancies Per Month	The number of discrepancies in a month reported for selected the ATA chapter for the reliability fleet chosen.
Flight Hours Per Month	The total flight hours for that particular month for the reliability fleet chosen.
Discrepancy Per Flight Hour	The number of discrepancies per flight hour reported for the ATA chapter for the reliability fleet chosen.

To proceed carry out the following

Select the “View Discrepancy Details” link at the bottom of the page to view the discrepancy details of the fleet.

Viewing the monthly pilot report analysis – An overview

In this page, you can view the monthly pilot report analysis details for the selected fleet. The system retrieves the details such as the reliability fleet number, fleet description and the pilot report details available for the selected reliability fleet. The monthly pilot report details such as the month at which the selected pilot report analysis had occurred, ATA number, chapter description, discrepancies per month, flight hours per month and discrepancy per flight hour of the selected fleet are displayed.
