Viewing the utilization summary report

In this page, you can view the summary of the utilization report for the selected fleet. Tell me more.

Select the “View Utilization Summary Report” link in the “Select Reliability Fleet” page. Alternatively, click the reliability fleet number in the multiline of the same page.

The “View Fleet Utilization Report” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date field is displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

The system displays the following fields in the “Reliability Fleet Details” group box:

Reliability Fleet #

The number identifying the reliability fleet for which you wish to view the utilization report.

Fleet Description

The textual description of the fleet.

Zoom facility available

Data Available Upto

The last date until which the utilization summary details are transferred from “Aircraft History” business component to “Aircraft Reliability” business component.

Enter the following fields in the “Reliability Calendar Details” group box:

Reliability Calendar #

Use the drop-down list box to select number identifying the reliability calendar for which you wish to view the fleet utilization report. The system displays all the Reliability Calendar codes that are in “Closed" or “Confirmed” status, and to which the reliability fleet number is mapped in the “Reliability Setup” business component.

Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to get the details of the reliability calendar.

The system displays the following details in the “Reliability Calendar Details” group box:

Calendar Description

The textual description of the reliability calendar.

Zoom facility available

Start Date

The start date of the reliability calendar.

End Date

The end date of the reliability calendar.

Enter the following fields in the “Period Details” group box:

Period #

Use the drop-down list box to select the period which is mapped to reliability fleet number in the “Reliability Setup” business component. The period must be either in the “Confirmed” or “Closed” status.

Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to get the details of the period.

The system displays the following details in the “Period Details” group box:

Period - From	The start date of the period of the reliability calendar.
Period - To	The end date of the period of the reliability calendar.

Enter the following fields in the “User Defined Period Details” group box:

From Year	The year starting from which you wish to view the utilization report.
To Year	The year until which you wish to view the utilization report.
Month From	Use the drop-down list box to select the month from which you wish to view the utilization report.
Month To	Use the drop-down list box to select the month unto which you wish to view the utilization report.

Enter the following fields in the “View Filter Options” group box:

View By

Use the drop-down list box to select the view option. The report can be viewed based on the “Reliability Period” or the “User Defined Period”.

Note: If this field is set to ”User Defined Period”, then you need to enter From Year” and” To Year” in such a manner that “From Year” should not be greater than the ”To year”. If the ”From Year” and the ”To Year” are the same, ”From Month” should not be later than ”To Month”.

Flight Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the category to which the flight belongs. The system lists all the Active values defined for the quick code type as “Flight Category” of the “Common Master” business component.

Click the “View Utilization Summary” pushbutton to view the utilization details.

The system displays the following in the “Fleet Utilization Summary For The Period” group box.

No of Aircraft	The total number of aircraft in the fleet.
Fleet FC	The total flying cycles of the fleet. A flying cycle is a combination of each flight take-off and landing of the fleet.
Fleet FH	The total flying hours for all the aircraft in the reliability fleet for the time period chosen.
Last Period Fleet FC	The total flying cycles for the fleet in the period prior to the current reliability period.
Last Period Fleet FH	The total flying hours of the flight for the fleet in the period prior to the current reliability period.
Avg. Daily Utilization	The average daily utilization per aircraft in terms of flight hours and flight cycles for the entire reliability period.
The average daily utilization for the fleet is calculated using the following formula: Average Daily Utilization = Fleet FH/ (No.of Aircraft * No. of Days) For example, if a fleet has 5 aircraft and the flying hours of the fleet is 4924 hours for a period of 120 days, then the average daily utilization is Average Daily Utilization = Fleet FH/(No.of Aircraft * No. of Days) = 4924/(5*120) = 8.207
Avg. Flight Duration	The average duration of flight for the chosen period for the fleet.

The average flight duration is calculated using the following formula:

Average Flight Duration = Fleet Flying Hours / No. of Flying Cycles

If the flying cycles of the fleet are 2469 cycles, then the average flight duration is

Average Flight Duration = Fleet FH / Fleet FC

= 4924 / 2469

=1.9943

Note: You can select a reliability period that is already defined in “Reliability Setup” business component, or specify a user-defined period for calculating the average flight utilization and average flight duration values.

The system displays the following in the “Utilization Details For The Period” multiline:

Aircraft Reg #	The number identifying the aircraft registration.
FC	The total flying cycles of the aircraft for the period chosen.
FH	The total flying hours of the aircraft for the period chosen..
Last Period FC	The total flying cycles for the aircraft in the period prior to the current reliability period.
Last Period FH	The total flying hours of the aircraft in the period prior to the current reliability period.
% Fleet FH	The percentage of the total fleet flying hours the aircraft contributes. Example: If the Total Fleet FH is 500 for the chosen period and for an Aircraft the corresponding value is 50 then the %FH value is 0.1 (50/500).
% Last Period Fleet FH	The percentage of the total fleet flying hours that occurred in the period prior to the current reliability period contributed by the aircraft.
Average Daily Utilization	The average daily utilization per aircraft in terms of flight hours and flight cycles for the entire reliability period.
Average Flight Duration	The average duration of flying hours per flight for the chosen period for the aircraft.

Select the “View Monthly Utilization Report” link at the bottom of the page to view the detailed monthly utilization report.

Select the “View Fleet Aging Profile” link at the bottom of the page, to view the aging details of the fleet.

Viewing the utilization summary report – An overview

In this page, you can view the summary of the utilization report for the selected fleet. The system retrieves the details such as the reliability fleet number, fleet description and the utilization details available for the selected reliability fleet. The utilization details such as the aircraft registration number, flying cycle, flying hours, last period flying hours, percentage fleet flying hours, percentage fleet flying hours expected, average daily utilization and the average flight duration of the selected fleet are displayed.
