Maintaining Pool Information
Select the “Maintain Pool Information” activity under the “Pool Management” business component.
The “Maintain Pool Information” page appears.
Select one of the following radio buttons:
Create |
Select this radio button to create the Pools. |
Modify |
Select this radio button to modify the Pools. User can enter the Pool ID/Rev # and click the “Go” pushbutton to modify the respective Pool. |
View |
Select this radio button to view the Pools. User can enter the Pool ID/Rev # and click the “Go” pushbutton to view the respective Pool. |
Enter the following fields:
Pool ID/Rev # |
The unique number identifying the Pool ID. |

Use the drop-down list to select the revision number of the Pool ID. The system lists all the revision number available for the Pool ID, on entering the Pool ID. The system defaults the latest revision number. |
Click the “Go” pushbutton to retrieve the details for the entered Pool ID and Rev #.
Note: The “Pool ID/Rev #” field and “Go” pushbutton are enabled only if the Modify/View radio button is selected.
Tile Section
The “Tile Section” provides the following tiles, each of which displays the count of recorded details and when clicked on, retrieves the corresponding details in the tabs.
Customers |
Displays the count of unique customers entered in ‘Beneficiary details’ tab. |
Contracts |
Displays the count of unique contracts entered in ‘Beneficiary details’ tab. |
A/C Models |
Displays the count of unique Aircraft Model # entered in ‘Part details’ tab. |
Parts |
Displays the count of unique Part #s entered in ‘Part details’ tab. |
Stations |
Displays the count of unique Stations entered in ‘Station Coverage’ tab. |
Warehouses |
Displays the count of unique Warehouse # entered in ‘Warehouse Mapping’ tab. |
Note: The ‘Tile section’ appears only if the entered Pool ID is in ‘Confirmed’ or ‘Under Authorization’ or ‘Active’ or ‘Inactive’ Status.
Enter the following fields in the Pool Information section:
Pool ID |
The unique identification number of the pool. |
Pool Description |
The description of the Pool ID. |
The system displays the following fields:
Revision # |
The revision number of the Pool ID. |
Pool Status |
The status of the Pool ID which could be ‘Draft’, ‘Fresh’, ‘Confirmed’, ‘Cancelled’, ‘Approved’ or ‘Revised’. |
Enter the following fields:
Pool Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the category of the Pool ID. The system lists all the ‘Active’ quick codes defined under the quick code type “Pool Category” in the “Manage Logistics Quick Codes” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the user status of the Pool ID. The system lists all the ‘Active’ quick codes defined under the quick code type “Pool User Status” in the “Manage Logistics Quick Codes” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Pool Representative |
The name identifying the representative of the Pool ID. Help facility available. |
Remarks |
Any additional description of the Pool ID. |
Effective From |
The date from which the Pool ID Is effective. |
Effective To |
The date up to which the Pool ID is effective. |
Return Remarks |
The remarks pertaining to the return of the Pool ID. Note: The Pool ID can be returned only if the ‘Return Remarks’ are entered. |
Cancellation Remarks |
The remarks pertaining to the cancellation of the Pool ID. Note: The Pool ID can be cancelled only if the ‘Cancellation Remarks’ are entered. |
Enter the following in the “Pool Details” section:
Select the '' image
to launch the Beneficiaries
tab to record the details of the customer who benefit from the Pool.
Select the image
to launch the Part
Details tab to record the details of the Parts supported from
the Pool.
Select the image
to launch the Exclusion
details tab to record the exclusion details, if specific parts
are with few customers.
Select the image
to launch the Station
Coverage tab to record the station details that are supported
from the pool.
Select the image
to launch the Warehouse
Mapping tab to map the warehouses to the Pool ID.
Click the “Confirm” pushbutton to confirm the Pool ID.
If the Pool Status is ‘Fresh’, the Pool ID can be confirmed. The system updates the status of the Pool ID to ‘Confirmed’.
Click the “Approve” pushbutton to approve the Pool ID.
If the Pool Status is ‘Confirmed’/’LEVEL N’, Pool ID can be approved only if the current login user is authorized to approve the document, based on Workflow Definition. The system updates the status of the Pool ID to ‘Approved’.
Click the “Return” pushbutton to return the Pool ID.
If the Pool Status is Confirmed, the Pool ID can be Returned. The system updates the status of the Pool ID to ‘Returned’.
Click the “Cancel” pushbutton to cancel the Pool ID.
If the Pool Status is Fresh/Draft, the Pool ID can be Cancelled. The system updates the status of the Pool ID to ‘Cancelled’.
On save of the ‘Approved’ Pool ID, the status changes to ‘Revised’.
Select the “Maintain Warehouses for Customer Requests” link to evaluate a Pool and identify the Requesting Warehouse for a Customer Request.
The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:
Created By |
The name of the user who created the Pool ID. |
Created Date |
The date on which the Pool ID was created. |
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the Pool ID. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the Pool ID was last modified. |
Confirmed By |
The name of the user who confirmed the Pool ID. |
Confirmed Date |
The date on which the Pool ID was confirmed. |
Approved By |
The name of the user who approved the Pool ID. |
Approved Date |
The date on which the Pool ID was approved. |
