Loading engineering documents In Bulk– A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to create regular and pre-loaded engineering documents in bulk. The ‘Load Type’ of the engineering document identifies a ‘regular engineering document’ or a ‘preloaded engineering document’:

• Regular - Using this activity you can create multiple engineering documents at the same time, while the “Create Change Request based Engg. Order”, “Create Direct Engineering Document” and “Create Child Engineering Document” activities allows you to create only a single  engineering document.

• Pre-load - Pre-loaded engineering documents are those engineering documents that are executed before they are recorded in the system. The details of engineering document execution are initially recorded in physical documents and then later recorded in the system using this activity. You can also confirm the pre-loaded engineering documents.

Note: You cannot confirm the regular engineering documents, in this activity.

You can enter the engineering document number manually, if the “Numbering Type” is set as “Manual” in the “Set Options” activity of the “Engineering Document” business component. If the “Numbering Type” is set as “System Generated”, the system generates the engineering document number.
