Indicates whether aircraft effectivity details, part effectivity details, part requirement, resource requirement, reference details, or periodicity details are entered for the FCD. The system displays one of the following: |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
If more than one of the above details are identified for the FCD, the variables will be separated by “\”. |
Click the “Create FCD” pushbutton, to create the fleet campaign directive for the change request.
If you have chosen automatic generation of the FCD number, the system generates the number with the prefix and suffix of the numbering type selected. The number is incremented from the last number available in the "Engineering Document" business component.
For the FCD generated, the system assigns “Fresh” status.
Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent as per the settings you have defined in the "Workflow Management" business component.
For the change request, revision number and applicability group combination, the system copies the following:
the reference document details defined for the change request and revision number combination.
If “Allow Duplicated FCD on the Same Effectivity” is set as “No” in the “Set Options” activity, the system generates the FCD only for the effectivity specified in the change request and aircraft model combination. Otherwise the system generates multiple FCDs for all the effectivities specified in the change request. . The system performs this update by considering the Time Unit for the Threshold Interval of the engineering document.
For the change request, revision number and group number combination in the reference document details, the system copies the effectivity details (Aircraft / Part / Serial No) from MCM Details to the FCD Number. The system copies the task details and compliance details apart from the effectivity details from the MCR to the FCD.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Edit Aircraft Effectivity” link at the bottom of the page, to enter the aircraft effectivity details for the FCD.
Select the “Edit Part Effectivity” link at the bottom of the page, to enter the part effectivity details for the FCD.
Select the “Edit Task Information” link at the bottom of the page, to enter the details of the tasks to be performed for FCD execution.
Select the “Edit Parts Requirements” link at the bottom of the page, to enter the details of the piece part required for FCD execution.

Select the “Edit Notes” link at the bottom of the page to modify additional comments for the FCD.
Select the “View MCR Details” link at the bottom of the page to view maintenance change request.
Select the “View MCM Details” link at the bottom of the page to view information regarding the modification committee meeting.
Creating change request based FCD – An overview
In this page, you can generate the fleet campaign directive (FCD) for the change request selected in the previous page. A unique number identifies the fleet campaign directive (FCD). Based on the option settings, the system either generates the FCD number automatically, or enables you to enter it manually. To generate the number automatically, you must specify the numbering type in this page.
You can specify the category to which the FCD belongs, user status, description and the ATA chapter to indicate the system on which the FCD has to be performed.
You can specify whether the FCD is applicable for the aircraft, component or engine, and its priority, background details and the reason for creating the FCD.
The execution details of the FCD such as the work center in which the FCD has to be performed, estimated time and man-hours required for the execution of the FCD, must be defined.
You can also indicate whether,
the FCD has to be performed in the original place of the part,
follow-up action is required after executing the FCD.
The system assigns the “Fresh” status as soon as the FCD is created, and sets the creation date and time to the server date and time
Note: If approval requirements are specified in the “Set Authorization Rules” activity, for the combination of the change document type and the source document type of the FCD, the system sets the “Authorization Status” of the FCD as “Pending”. Otherwise, the “Authorization Status” is set as “Authorization Not Required”.
Create FCDs applicable for aircraft, engine or component
Specify the reference document details for FCD
Create FCDs applicable for aircraft, engine or component
You can create FCDs applicable for aircraft, engine or component.
In the “FCD Details” group box,
Set the “Applicability” field to “Aircraft”, if the FCD must be executed on aircraft.
Set the “Applicability” field to “Engine”, if the FCD must be executed on engine.
Set the “Applicability” field to “Component”, if the FCD must be executed on component.
Specify the reference document details for FCD
The details of the reference documents that triggered the creation of FCD, can be entered.

Check the “Follow-Up Action” box in the “FCD Execution Details” group box, to indicate that follow-up action is required after executing the FCD.
Priority is a number identifying the level of urgency. For example, in a set of priority descriptions "Critical", "High", "Medium" and "Low", the priority description "Critical" will be treated as of highest priority. You can specify the priority based on which the FCD will be executed.
Select the priority number in the “Priority” drop-down list box, in the “FCD Details” group box.
