Selecting change request for creating FCD
This page allows you to select a maintenance change request for creating an FCD. Tell me more.
Select the “Create Change Request based Fleet Campaign Directive” link under the “Engineering Order” business component.
The “Select Change Request” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields must be entered in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a change request. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Change Request # |
The maintenance change request number for which you wish to create the FCD (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the change request numbers that are similar to the values entered here. |
Source Doc Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the modification document or the source document of the change request to be retrieved. The system lists all the values defined in the “Create MCR Document Type“ of the “Common Master” business component. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve the change request irrespective of the source document type. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
MCM # |
The MCM number for which the change request details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the change requests that are associated to the MCM number similar to the number entered here. |
User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the user status of the change request to be retrieved. |

The system retrieves all the change request numbers that are in the user status specified here. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter number on which change request must be executed (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the change request numbers containing ATA chapter number similar to the value entered here. Leave the field blank to retrieve the all the change requests irrespective of the ATA chapter number. |
Applicability |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the applicability of the change request document to be retrieved. The change request could be applicable for “Aircraft”, “Engine” or “Component”. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve details of change request irrespective of their applicability. The system sets the field to “Aircraft” by default. |
MCM: From Date |
The starting date, in the range of dates, in which the MCM was conducted (Date Format). The date entered here should be in the format displayed in the “Date Format” field. The system retrieves all the change requests for which the MCM was convened on the specified date. |
MCM: To Date |
The ending date, in the range of dates, in which the MCM was conducted (Date Format). The date entered here should be in the format displayed in the “Date Format” field. The system retrieves all the change requests for which the MCM was convened on the specified date. The date entered here should be greater than “MCM: From Date”. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
If you have set "Assignments Mandatory" as "Yes" in the “Set Options” activity, the system retrieves only the engineering orders that are assigned to the login user. If the Assignments Mandatory" is set as "No" the system retrieves all change requests.
The system retrieves only “Processed” change requests, for which the MCM Decision is set as ”Execute”, Mode of Execution as ”FCD” and the MCM Status is “Confirmed”, in the “Process Change Request” activity.
The system retrieves only those change requests that have not been terminated by any other change request in the “Maintenance Change Request” business component.
The system retrieves only those change requests that await login user’s authorization as identified in the work flow configured in the “Work Flow Management” business component.
If the change request is identified as “Terminated Change Request” in the MCM of the login organization unit and if the MCM status of the Terminating Change Request is “Confirmed”, then the system does not retrieve those change requests.
The system displays the following fields in the “Employee Details” group box:

The number identifying the currently logged-in employee. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. |
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:
Change Request # |
The number identifying the maintenance change request. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the change request. |
Applicability Group |
The applicability group of the change request. |
User Status |
The user status of the change request. |
Applicability |
Indicates whether the change request is applicable for “Aircraft”, “Component” or “Engine”. |
MCM # |
The number identifying the modification committee meeting, if the change request has been processed. |
FCD count |
The number of FCDs that are already created against the change request. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter, on which the change request has to be performed. |
Category |
The category to which the change request belongs. |
Subject |
The textual description of the change request. |
Note: For “MCR”, if more than one applicability group is associated to the change request, the system displays a multiline row for each combination of change request and applicability group. If “Allow Duplicate FCD on the same Effectivity” is set to “No” in the “Edit Option Settings” activity, the system displays those applicability groups for which the FCD is not created.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to mark the change request for creating the FCD.
To proceed, carry out the following
Click the hyperlinked change request in the multiline or alternately select the “Create FCD” link at the bottom of the page to create the FCD.
Select the “View Assignment Information” link at the bottom of the page to view information regarding the assigned employees.
Selecting change request for creating FCD – An overview
This page allows you to select a maintenance change request for creating an FCD. You can carry out a search based on the maintenance change request number, source document type, Modification Committee Meeting (MCM) that processed the change request, user status, ATA chapter, applicability and the MCM date. Based on the search criteria, the system retrieves the change requests in the multiline. The MCM that processed the change request, ATA chapter on which the change request must be performed, category and description of the change request are displayed.
