The “Define Process Entities” page appears.

Entity Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the entity type for which you want to retrieve the details. The drop-down list box displays the following: Certificate Type, Collaborator, Crew Information, Dashboard, Maintenance Planning, Work Monitoring and Control, Eng. Doc Type, Package Type, Shop Work Order Type, Discrepancy Management, Deferral Type, Hold Codes, Aircraft Entry, Component Entry, Category, Disposition Code, Flight Operations, WBS Code, Part Sale Type, Service Sale Type, Stock Restriction Code, Mobility, Maintenance Task, Personalization, Charter Type, Tech Records Process Ctrl, Reports, Maint. Program and Forecasting Options, Package Print, Mail IT, Certificate of Maintenance, Defect Type, Regulatory Authority, Work Status, Notifications, Risk Management, Utilities, Roster Management and Eng. Change Order. See table for details.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of entity of which you want to retrieve the details. The combo is loaded with options “Active” and “Inactive”.

The system retrieves the details of the entities in the multiline based on the search criteria provided in the header. The system performs a wild card (*) search when “Blank” is selected in both the search fields.

Note: Entity details for entity types “Aircraft Entry” and “Component Entry” cannot be modified as they are preset as system entities.

Entity Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the entity type of the entity you want to create, Mandatory. The drop-down list box displays the following: Certificate Type, Collaborator, Crew Information, Dashboard, Maintenance Planning, Work Monitoring and Control, Eng. Entity

The entity that you want to create, Mandatory.

  • Aircraft Entry is set to “Aircraft”.

  • Component Entry is set to “Component”.

By default the system leaves this field blank

Description

A description of the entity, Mandatory. For example, you can describe the types of documents that can be created under the entity.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the entity. The drop-down list box displays the following: “Active” and “Inactive.

Note: For Aircraft Entry and Component Entry entity types, status is set to “Active” by default.

Note: You cannot modify any of the above details of an entity after its creation. However, you can modify process parameters of an entity in the “Set Process Parameters” activity.

The system displays the following in the multiline:

Process Parameters?

Indicates whether process parameters for the entity have been defined.

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the document details.

Note: For certain entity types, such as Aircraft Entry, Component Entry, Category", Disposition Code and WBS Code, this column displays “System”.

Created Date

The date on which the document details was created.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the document details.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the document details was last modified.

Define Process Entities – An overview

This page allows you to define the entities of entity types set by the system. The available entity types in the system are Eng. Doc Type, Package Type, Deferral Type, Shop Work Order Type, Hold Codes, Aircraft Entry and Component Entry.
