Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

This page allows you to retrieve details of the modification done with respect to the aircraft. You can carry out the search using the Mod #, Mod Description, or ATA #.

The “Help on Mod #” page appears.

Mod #

The unique number identifying the modification done with respect to the aircraft. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all modification numbers that are similar to the value entered here.

Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the Mod # irrespective of the value specified.

Mod Description

The textual description of the modification done. You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the Mod # whose description is similar to the description entered here.

Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the Mod # irrespective of the Mod description.

Search On

Use the drop-down list box to specify the criteria based on which you wish to make the search. The system lists the following values in the first drop-down list box:

  • Mod Classification – If you select this option, the system lists all the ‘Active’ quick codes defined for the type ‘Mod Classification’ in the “Aircraft” business component, in the adjacent drop-down list box. On selecting a value, the system retrieves all the Mod # whose Mod Classification matches with the Mod Classification given in search criteria.

  • Mod Category – If you select this option, the system lists all the ‘Active’ quick codes defined for the type ‘Mod Category’ in the “Aircraft” business component, in the adjacent drop-down list box. On selecting a value, the system retrieves all the Mod # whose Mod Category matches with the Mod Category given in search criteria.

  • Mod Status – If you select this option, the system lists the values “Active” and “Inactive”, in the adjacent drop-down list box. On selecting “Active” or “Inactive”, the system retrieves all the Mod # whose Mod Status is “Active” or “Inactive” respectively.

By default, the system leaves the field blank.

ATA #

The ATA chapter on which the engineering document is executed. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the Mod # whose ATA chapter number similar to the value entered here. Leave the field blank to retrieve the all the modification numbers irrespective of the ATA chapter number.

The system fills in the following fields in the ”Search Results” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

Mod #

The code identifying the modification done in the aircraft.

Mod Description

A brief description of the modification performed, example Design Change.

ATA #

The ATA chapter on which the engineering document is executed.

Mod Classification

The classification of the aircraft mod.

Mod Category

The category under which the mod classification is done.

Mod Status

The status of the modification done with respect to the aircraft or component which could be active or inactive.

Remarks

Any additional comments pertaining to modification.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the record was last modified.

Last Modified By

The name of the user who last modified the record.
