This page allow you to categorize the delay reasons and identify each of these delay reasons with a unique code and description. Tell me more

The “Create Flight Delay Codes” page appears.

Delay Category

Use the drop-down list box to specify the delay category for which the delay code values must be defined. Mandatory. The combo is loaded with all the user defined values for the “Flight Log/Occ. Rep. Attribute Type” in Active status. The quick codes are defined in the “Create Flight Log/Occurrence Report Attributes” page in “Common Masters” component. The values are loaded in alphabetical order.

Delay #

A unique number identifying the delay code (Alphanumeric, 25). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of characters and digits. Ensure that the delay code is unique for the organizational unit.

Delay Description

The textual description of the delay code (Alphanumeric, 80). Mandatory. Ensure that you provide the description for all the delay codes that are created in this activity.

Delay Type

Use the drop-down list box to classify the delay code as ”IATA”, “Airline” or “Others”. The system sets the field to “IATA” by default.

Delay On

Use the drop-down list box to record the delay in arrival and departure. The system lists “Arrival” and “Departure”. The system sets the field to “Departure” by default.

Reliability Analysis?

Use the drop down list box to specify whether the delay code requires reliability analysis or not. The system lists the options “Required” and “Not Required”.

The reliability analysis generates the reliability report in the “Reliability Analysis” business component. Airlines use reliability analysis for reducing the maintenance and inventory cost and for regulatory requirement.

The system sets the field to “Not Required” by default.

Note: The system adds new records with the above details to the Delay Code Master of the login OU with the status as “Active”.The system also saves the current server date to the “Created Date” and the login user ID to “Created By”.
