Changing User PIN in Smart Card Interface

This page allows you to change the personal identification number (PIN) of the smart card.
Select the “Smart Card – Change User PIN” option in the “Start - Programs” menu.
The “Smart Card – Change User PIN” screen appears.
Insert the smart card into the smart card reader.
Enter the following:

Application |
Use the drop-down list box to select the smart card application such as “Electronic Signature”. |

OLD PIN |
The old Personal Identification Number (PIN) of the smart card. |
The system verifies whether the PIN is the same as the PIN stored in the smart card.

New PIN |
The new PIN for the smart card (Alphanumeric, 8). Ensure that the value entered is not less than the minimum number of characters specified in the “Smart Card Configuration” activity. |

Confirm New PIN |
The new PIN for the smart card (Alphanumeric, 8). Ensure that the value entered in this field is the same as the value entered in the “New PIN” field. |
Click the “Change” pushbutton.
The system checks whether the card has been issued for the selected application, and replaces the old PIN with the new PIN on confirmation.
Click the “Exit” pushbutton to exit the screen.
