Set Pricing Engine Options – A summary of the activity

In this activity you can set the optional parameters that can be used while defining taxes and charges rules in the “Sales Charge & Tax Rule” business component. You can also set default options for the pricing engine based on which the search will be carried out.

Pricing Engine Search

Pricing Engine would search, match and display the prices, taxes and charges applicable to a particular transaction based on certain parameters. The price engine takes the inputs supplied from the sales transactions like customer order and compares them with the parameters specified in the price rules to find the appropriate price list for the transaction. The price list contains the details of the prices of all the goods and services involved in the transaction.

This activity allows you to specify base part price list and base service price list, which will be defaulted during price search. You can also specify whether the TC rules must be selected based on parameter ‘priority’ or ‘weightage’.
