Edit Cost Center / Unit – A summary of the activity

You can modify the details of a cost center / unit provided it has not been mapped to a parent cost center or a cost element. You can also modify the details of a cost center / unit if has not been used for defining allocation and it has not been defined as a parent cost center in a cost center structure.

If you know the code identifying the cost center / unit you can enter it directly. The system retrieves the details of the cost center / unit. Otherwise, you can carry out a search by specifying the type of the cost center / unit, its status and the organization unit in which the user who is responsible for the cost center is available. You can also search by specifying the range of codes identifying the cost center / units and the description of the cost center / units. The system retrieves the search results based on the search criteria entered.

You can modify almost all the details of the cost center / unit except the code identifying the cost center / unit. The system maintains the history of the modifications made to the responsibility associated for the cost center / unit. The system stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the modified details.
