Create Cost Element Structure – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to create a cost element structure similar to a tree structure. Costs are aggregated under a cost element. These cost elements can be grouped to form cost element structures for the purpose of reporting. These cost element structures are aimed at defining the flow of costs among the cost elements. A cost element must be unique for a cost element structure.

You can create a cost element structure similar to a tree. You can add header nodes and element nodes to create the tree. Formula required for calculating some summary values based on one or more nodes of the cost element values can also be included in the cost element structure. This activity also allows you to view the cost element structure after creating it.
