Activate / Inactivate Cost Center / Unit – A summary of the activity
You can search and select a cost center / unit that you want to activate or inactivate. If you know the code identifying the cost center / unit you can enter it directly. The system retrieves the details of the cost center / unit. Otherwise, you can carry out a search by specifying the type of the cost center / unit, its status and the organization unit in which the user who is responsible for the cost center is available. You can also search by specifying the range of codes identifying the cost center / units and the description of the cost center / units. The system retrieves the search results based on the search criteria entered.
You can activate a cost center / unit that is in the “Inactive” status. The system updates the status of the cost center / unit as “Active”. You can also inactivate a cost center / unit that is in the “Active” status. You can inactivate a cost center / unit provided it has not been mapped to a cost rule definition. The system updates the status of the cost center / unit as “Inactive”. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the modified details.
