Simulate Allocation – A summary of the activity

This facilitates the user to get an idea of the cost getting allocated before the actual allocation is done. This activity also allows you to simulate actual and budgeted costs. If budgeted costs are to be considered, then the budget number and the version of the budget for the simulation have to be specified.

During simulation, the actual data are not affected. You can simulate allocations for a particular run number or for a group of run numbers also. Multiple run numbers can be involved in the simulation when the “Execute Incrementally” parameter has been set to “Yes”. The system simulates the allocations, whose results can be viewed in the “Allocation Journal” page.
