Work Scheduling - An overview

The “Work Scheduling” Component under the Aircraft/Shop Work Management BPC facilitates scheduling of work orders for specific Station and Work Center combination. This component proves vital for organizations operating on a large scale with a considerable number of work centers at different stations catering to different segments of aviation maintenance.

The following activities in the Work Scheduling component cater to the process of automatic scheduling of jobs in the work centers.

• Scheduling Process Parameters: The users can define process parameters to facilitate automatic work scheduling under four categories: Scheduling, Time Fence, Prioritization and Optimization. These parameters can be defined for unique combination of job type, station and work center.

• Schedule Jobs: The maintenance planners can schedule jobs for the station - work center combination for specific time duration. This activity is entirely a GUI and enables maintenance planners to update start and end dates of jobs using Gantt. Further, the planners can view availability of employees in a work center and assign/reassign employees to jobs using gantt for specific time period.
