Selecting work center for editing

This page allows you to select a work center for modifying the details. Tell me more.

Select “Edit Work Center” link under the “Work Center” business component.

The “Select of Work Center” page appears.

Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box if you know the exact work center number to be modified:

Work Center #

The number of the work center to be modified (Alphanumeric, 30).

Select the “Edit Work Center Information” link to edit the work center information.

Search for work center

Enter the following fields to search for a particular work center number. Data entry in these fields is optional:

Work Center #	The number identifying the work center to be modified (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or enter it partially using “*” character. The system displays all the work center numbers that are similar to the number entered here.
Status	Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the work center. The system provides the options “Active” or “Inactive”. Leave the field blank to retrieve work centers irrespective of the status. The system displays “Active” by default.
Work Center Category	Use the drop down list box to select the work center category. The system displays all quick codes that were defined during the “Create Quick Codes” activity, of type “Work center” and status “Active”. Leave the field blank if you wish to retrieve work centers irrespective of the quick code association. The system leaves this field blank by default.
Work Center Type	Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the work center to be retrieved. The work center could be of type “Hangar”, “Bay”, “Shop”, “Line” or “Others”. The system retrieves the work centers of type selected here. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve all the work centers irrespective of the work center type.
Work Center Description	The textual description of the work center to be modified (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or enter it partially using “*” character.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.

The system fills in the following fields in the multiline based on the filter criteria entered:

Work Center #	The number identifying the work center.
Work Center Description	The textual description of the work center.
Status	The status of the work center, which can be “Active” or “Inactive”.
Work Center Type	The type to which the work center belongs which could be “Hangar”, “Bay”, "Shop", "Line" or “Others”.
Work Center Category	The category to which the work center belongs.

Click the hyperlinked work center number in the multiline, to edit the work center details.

Selecting work center for editing – An overview

This page allows you to select the work center number to be modified and view its details before modification. You can directly modify the work center details by entering the work center number, if you know the exact number to be modified. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the work center number, status, work center description, work center type and work center category. The details of the work center such as the work center number, work center description and status are displayed.
