This page allows you to edit the facility details that are already defined. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Facility Information” link in the “Select Facility” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked facility number in the multiline of the same page.
The “Edit Facility Information ” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
The system displays the following field in the “Facility Details” group box:
Facility # |
The number identifying the facility. |
Modify the following fields, if required:
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the facility. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. Set the status as “Inactive” if you wish to disable the facility from any future reference in other activities. |
The system displays the following field:
Facility Type |
The type of the facility, which can be “Equipment”, “Tools” or “Others”. |
Enter the following fields:
Facility Category |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the quick code to which the facility is associated. The system lists all quick codes of type “Facility” and of status “Active”. Leave the field blank if you do not wish to associate the facility with any quick code. By default, the system displays the quick code that was associated to this facility, in the “Create Facilities” activity. |
Facility Description |
The textual description of the facility (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. This field should not be left blank. |
Capacity |
The capacity of the facility in units.(Alphanumeric, 40). |
Rate / Hr |
The rate per hour payable to the facility (Decimal). Mandatory. Ensure that the number entered is positive. |
Part # |
The part number to be associated to the facility (Alphanumeric, 40). Ensure that the part number is already defined in the "Part Administration" business component and the reference status of the part is "Active". Also ensure that the part type is “Tools” for the part number if the Facility Type is “Tools”. |

The system displays the following fields for you to enter, and hides the “Part #” field above, if the parameter “Enable Manufacturer Part # control in transaction” under the Category ‘Manufacturer Part #’ is set as “Yes” in the “Set Inventory Process Parameters” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component.
Mfr. Part # |
The number assigned to the part, by the manufacturer of the part. (Alphanumeric, 40). The following statements are true with respect to the manufacturer part number entered here:

Note: The Mfr. Part # - Mfr. # combination must be defined in the “Part Administration” business component.

The name of the user who last modified the facility details. |

Click the “Edit Facility ” pushbutton to edit the details of the facility.
Editing facility details - An overview
This activity allows you to modify the details of the selected facility. Details such as the facility status, description, capacity and category can be modified. The system updates the details of the facility and sets the “Last Modified Date” to the server date.
