This page allows you to create facilities. Tell me more.
Select “Create Facilities” link under the “Work Center” business component.
The “Create Facilities” page appears.
Enter the following field:
Facility Type |
Use the drop-down list box and select “Equipment”, “Tools” or “Others” as the type of facility to be created. The system sets this field to “Tools” by default. |
The system displays the following field:
Currency |
The currency code as defined for the login organizational unit. This currency code is defined in the "Enterprise Set Up" business component. |
Enter the following fields in the “Facility Details” multiline:
Facility # |
A unique number that identifies the facility (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. This can be a combination of characters and digits. Ensure that the number is unique for the organizational unit. If the “Facility Type” field is set to “Tools”, ensure that the part number for the facility type “Tools” is already defined in the “Create Parts Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component. |
Facility Description |
The textual description of the facility (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. |
Facility Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the facility category. The system lists all the quick codes of type “Facility Category” and of status “Active”. Leave the field blank if you do not wish to specify the facility category. The system leaves this field blank by default. |
Part # |
The part number to be associated to the facility (Alphanumeric, 40). Ensure that the part number is already defined in the "Part Administration" business component and the reference status of the part is "Active". Also ensure that the part type is “Tools” for the part number if the Facility Type is “Tools”. |

The system displays the following fields for you to enter, and hides the “Part #” field above, if the parameter “Enable Manufacturer Part # control in transaction” under the Category ‘Manufacturer Part #’ is set as “Yes” in the “Set Inventory Process Parameters” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component.
Mfr. Part # |
The number assigned to the part, by the manufacturer of the part. (Alphanumeric, 40). The following statements are true with respect to the manufacturer part number entered here:

The code identifying the manufacturer of the part. (Alphanumeric, 45). Data entry in this field is mandatory, if the same manufacturer part number belonging to different manufacturer number is available in more than one row in the multiline and if the facility number is not entered in those rows. Note: The Mfr. Part # - Mfr. # combination must be defined in the “Part Administration” business component.
The system displays the following field:
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
Enter the following:
Rate / Hr |
The rate per hour payable to the facility (Decimal). Mandatory. Ensure that the number entered is positive. |
Capacity |
The capacity of the facility in units with the UOM for the facility (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the facility number for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the facilities selected in the multiline.
Click on “Create Facilities” pushbutton for creating facilities.
Note: The system creates facilities and sets the status of the created facility as “Active” and the creation date as the current server date.
