This page allows you to view the default warranty details that are defined for the parts associated to the warranty agreement. Tell me more.

The “View Default Warranty” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the "Agreement Details" group box:

Agreement #

The part warranty agreement for which the default warranty details are displayed.

Amendment #

The number identifying the amendment made to the part warranty agreement.

Supplier #

The supplier for which the part warranty agreement is created.

Supplier Name

The name of the supplier.

Part #

Use the drop-down list box to select the part for which you wish to view the default warranty details (Alphanumeric, 40). The system lists the value “All” if the “Agreement Coverage” drop-down list box is set as “Parts Catalogue”. Else Tthe system lists all the part numbers that are associated to the part warranty agreement; along with the value “All”..

By default the system displays “All”.

Warranty Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of warranty, for which the details must be viewed. The system lists the following options:

 
  • New - Select this option to view the warranty validity details of the warranty given by the supplier.

 
  • OEM - Select this option to view the warranty validity details of the warranty given by the OEM.

 
  • Overhaul - Select this option to view the warranty validity details of the warranty given for overhaul.

 
  • Repair - Select this option to view the warranty validity details of the warranty given for repair.

 

  • Ultimate Life – Select this option to view the warranty validity details of  the warranty for ultimate life of the part.

 

  • Mod – Select this option to view the warranty validity details of the warranty given for the modification of the part.

 

By default this field is set to "New".

Note: The system retrieves the parameter values based on the values selected in the “Time Display Option” field in the “Aircraft” business component. For example, if the value entered is 1.90 and the  “Time Display Option” is selected as “HHMM”, the system automatically converts and stores the value as 2.50, but displays the value as 2.30.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Zoom facility available

Default Warranty Period

The default period after which the warranty elapses.

 

The time unit for the default warranty period, which could be "Months" or "Years" is displayed alongside.

The system displays the following fields in the "Default Warranty Value" multiline:

Parameter

The code identifying the consumption or the range parameter based on which the warranty on the part is tracked.

Parameter Description

The textual description of the consumption parameter as retrieved from "Aircraft" business component.

UOM

The unit of measurement for the consumption parameter.

Warranty Value

Viewing default warranty details - An overview

 View Part Warranty Agreement – A summary of the activity

The warranty offered by the supplier on the part may be either date based or usage based which is specified in terms of parameter values. Those default warranty conditions are displayed in this page.

The details can be viewed for a specific part and the warranty type. You can select the part and the warranty type and view the warranty validity details. The warranty types are explained below:

Default parameter values

The parameter values that will be used for tracking the warranty on the part are displayed. The default values for the parameters are already defined in the "Create Part Warranty Agreement" activity. The warranty on the part elapses once the consumption and range parameter reaches the default value specified. The following details are displayed:
