Expire Component Warranty - A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to expire the component warranty created for the component. The warranty on a component expires when:

• The warranty period elapses. The warranty period refers to the duration for which the warranty is valid on the component.

• The value of the warranty parameter exceeds the warranty expiry value. The parameter based on which the warranty is tracked on a component is termed as 'Warranty Parameter'.

• In some cases the warranty on a component can be expired even when it in under Warranty as in a “AOG” situation.

The warranty administrator expires the component warranty once the warranty on the component elapses.

The search facility provided in this page helps you to search for the component warranty reference for expiration. You can search based on the warranty reference number, warranty type, reference document type, reference document number, goods receipt number, supplier name, part number, part serial number, supplier part number and ATA chapter number.

Note: You can expire only those component warranty reference documents that are in "Confirmed" status.
