Uploading maintenance documents
This page allows you to upload the maintenance documents to automatically create a Maintenance Change Request (MCR).
Select the “Upload SB/AD” link under the “Technical Document Interface” business component.
The “Upload SB/AD” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Source Document Details” group box:
Manufacturer # |
The number identifying the manufacturer whose source document must be uploaded (Alphanumeric, 45). Mandatory. The manufacturer code entered here must be valid as defined in the “Aircraft” business component. Help facility available. |
The system displays the following field:
Manufacturer Name |
The name of the manufacturer. |
Enter the following fields:
Source Document Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the source document, which could be one of the following:
The system sets the field to “SB” by default. |
Sgml File |
The network path identifying the location of the SGML file of the source document. |
Click the “Browse” pushbutton provided alongside, to search for the file.
PDF File |
The network path identifying the location of the PDF file of the source document. Entry in this field is optional. |
Click the “Browse” pushbutton provided alongside, to search for the file.
Click the “Upload Document” pushbutton to upload the source document.
The system automatically creates a Maintenance Change Request (MCR), with the source document number as the MCR #. The PDF file (if provided) will be attached to the MCR created.
“Set DTD Options” activity of the current business component. Document Type Definitions (DTD) must have been set for the source document associated to the manufacturer, in the “Set DTD Options” page.
