Recording Task Part modification details
Select the “Edit Task Part Mod Details” link under the “Maintenance Task” business component.
The “Maintain Task Part Mod Details” page appears.
Note: On accessing this page via a link from another page, the search facility by default retrieve records on the basis of the part # or task # selected in the invoking page.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to retrieve records for which that you want to update part modification details.
Task #/Rev. # |
The task and the revision number that must be mapped to the task the unique code identifying the task in the first input box. You can enter the number in full or specify it interspersed with the “*” character. The system lists all the task numbers that are similar to the values entered here. In the next input box, enter the revision number of the task that you want to retrieve. You can enter the number in full or specify it interspersed with the “*” character. The system lists all the revision numbers of the task that are similar to the values entered here. Help facility available |
Part # |
To retrieve the part to what you want to modify or upgrade. You can enter the number in full or specify it interspersed with the “*” character. The system lists all the parts numbers that are similar to the values entered here. Help facility available |
Source Doc. # |
The regulatory document, such as Service Bulletins (SB) or CMMs based on which the part must be modified. You can enter the number in full or specify it interspersed with the “*” character. The system lists all the documents with numbers that are similar to the values entered here. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to display the search results in the “Task Part Mod Details” multiline. You can also modify the details of the retrieved records or add records.
Alternately, you can enter new part modification records in the multiline without using the Search facility.
Task # |
The task that is effective to the part. Mandatory. Note: The task must have Applicability as ‘Aircraft’; must be valid and Active as defined in Maintenance Task. Help facility available. |
Rev. # |
The revision of the task that is effective to the part. Note: The revision must be valid and Active for the task as defined in Maintenance Task. |

The part to be altered / upgraded on the basis of the source document. Mandatory. Note: The part # you specify must · Be effective to the task that you have specified in the Task # field · Be valid and Active as defined in Part Administration · Have the planning status as ‘Active’ Help facility available |
Mfr. Part # |
The manufacturer part # of the part Mandatory. Note: The manufacturer part # must be valid and Active as defined in Part Administration. Help facility available |
Mfr. # |
The manufacturer of the part. Note: The part # must be valid and Active as defined in Part Administration. Help facility available |
Note: The manufacturer part # and manufacturer # combination must be valid and Active as defined in Part Administration.
The “Task Part Mod Details” multiline displays the following:
Part Description |
The short name of the part for which you want to record modification details. |
Enter the following in the “Task Part Mod Details” multiline
MSN - From |
The starting serial # of the part on which the modification is applicable. Help facility available. |
MSN – To |
The ending serial # of the part on which the modification is applicable. Help facility available. |
Note: If MSN – From and MSN – To happen to be the same serial #, the modification is applicable to the specific serial # alone. If you do not enter MSN – From, Mod # is applicable to all serial # ending with MSN – To. Similarly, if MSN – To is not available, New Mod # is applicable to all serial # beginning with MSN – From.
New Mod # |
The unique number that identifies the part modification transaction on the part. Note: You can associate a single Mod # with Task # - Rev # - Part # combination. |
Conditional Effectivity |
User-defined effectivity for he part modification. |
Remarks |
Additional information, such as reasons for and results of the part modification / conditional effectivity. |
The “Task Part Mod Details” multiline displays the following record details.
Task Type |
The user-defined type of the task. |
Task Category |
The user-defined category of the task. |
Created By |
The login user who created the record. |
Created Date |
The date on which the login user created the record. |
Modified By |
The login user who most recently modified the record. |
Modified Date |
The date on which the login user most recently modified the record. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton.
Note: The Save pushbutton is not available, if this page is accessed by clicking the "View Task Part Mod Details" link
