This page allows you to retrieve the details of the tasks that are already defined. You can carry out the search using the task number, its description, category, applicability, type and organizational unit description. Details such as organizational unit description, task number, task description, revision number, status, task applicability, task category and task type are displayed.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Task #” field in the main screen.
The “Help on Task #” page appears.
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a task. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Task # |
The task for which the details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the task numbers that are similar to the values entered here. |
Task Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the task to be retrieved. The system lists all the task categories defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of tasks irrespective of their category. |
Aircraft Model # |
The aircraft model number to which the task is associated (Alphanumeric, 30). The system lists all the tasks with the aircraft model number entered here. |
Task Description |
Enter the description of the task to be retrieved in full or specify it partially using the “*” character (Alphanumeric, 150). The system lists all the tasks whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here. |
Task Applicability |
Use the drop-down list box to select the item for which, the task to be retrieved is applicable. The system provides the options “Aircraft”, “Engine” and “Component”. The system retrieves all the tasks that are applicable for the item specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of tasks irrespective of their applicability. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Task Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the task to be retrieved, which could be one of the following: “MPD", "CMM", "MOD", "NonRoutine", and "Others". The system retrieves all those tasks that are in the type specified here. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter number to which the task belongs (Alphanumeric, 16). |
Org. Unit Name |
The description of the organizational unit to which the task to be retrieved, belongs (Alphanumeric, 256). You can enter the description fully or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the tasks that are created in the organizational unit specified here. |
System Reference # |
The system reference number of the task (Alphanumeric, 30) |
Task Class |
Use the drop-down list box to select the task class. The system lists the options “Non-Standard Task” and “Standard Task”. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.

Note: When search is invoked for a specific aircraft model, the system retrieves all the tasks effective to that model, even if the filtered model # is different from the base aircraft model #.

The task revision number that helps in tracing the changes made to the task. |

The description of the task. |
Status |
The status of the task, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Task Applicability |
Indicates whether the task is applicable for the “Aircraft”, “Component” or “Engine”. |
Task Category |
The category of the task. |
Task Type |
The type of the task which could be “MPD”, “CMM”, “MOD”, "NonRoutine” or “Others”.. |
Time Unit |
The unit of measurement for the time allotted for the task. |
Est. Elapsed Time |
The total time estimated for completing the task. |
Org. Unit Name |
The description of the organizational unit in which the task is defined. |
Org. Unit # |
The organizational unit number in which the task is defined. |
System Reference # |
The system reference number of the task |
Base Aircraft Model # |
The number identifying the base aircraft model identified for the task |
Task Class |
The system displays “Non-Standard Task” or “Standard Task” to indicate the class of the task. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the task.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
