In this page, you can add or modify the work area or the zone where the task has to be executed. Work area is the physical location where the work has to be carried out. This can be inside or outside the aircraft. Zones are the different areas inside the aircraft.

The “Edit Work Area / Zone Information” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “Task Details” group box.

Task Applicability

Indicates whether the task is applicable for “Aircraft”, “Engine” or “Component”.

Task #

The task for which the work area or zone details have to be specified.

Revision #

The revision number of the task for which the work area or zone details have to be specified.

Task Description

The textual description of the task.

Work Area / Zone

Use the drop-down list box to specify where the task has to be carried out, whether “Work Area” or “Zone”. The system sets the field to “Work Area” by default.

Aircraft Model #

Use the drop-down list box to select the aircraft model to which the work area must be associated. The system lists all the aircraft models created in the “Create Aircraft Model” activity of the “Aircraft” business component.

Work Area / Zone #

The work area or the zone where the task must be executed (Alphanumeric, 15).

The system fills in the following field on clicking the “Edit Work Area / Zone” pushbutton:

Description

The textual description of the work area or zone.

Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent and you can configure further processing of this document in the "Workflow Management" business component.

Note: In the case of modifying the work area or zone details of a “Returned” task, the system changes the status of the task to “Fresh” status. The status log is also updated.
