Entering reference document details for task
This page allows you to enter the reference information for the task. Tell me more
Select the “Edit Task / Sub Task References” link at the bottom of the “Create Task Information” or “Edit Task Information” page.
The “Edit Task References” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the "Task Details" group box:
Task Applicability |
Indicates whether the task is applicable for “Aircraft”, “Engine” or “Component”. |
Base Aircraft Model # |
The number identifying the base aircraft model on which the task can be performed |
Task # |
The task for which the reference details have to be specified. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the task for which the reference details have to be specified. |
Task Description |
The textual description of the task. |
Enter the following fields in the “Sub-Task Details” group box:
Sub Task Line # |
Use the drop-down list to select the sub task line item number for which the reference information needs to be updated. The system lists all the sub tasks associated to the task. Leave this field blank if you do not wish to define the reference information at the sub task level. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the reference details for the task - sub task combination.
Enter the following fields in the “Reference Document Details” multiline:
Reference Doc Type |
Use the drop-down list to select the type of the reference document. The system lists all the document type that are defined in the “Create Reference Document Type” activity of the “Common Master” component. Leave this field blank if you do not wish to assign the document type. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Document ID |
The name of the referenced document containing details of the task (Alphanumeric, 200). Mandatory. |
File Name |
The file name of the reference document (Alphanumeric, 30). Help facility available. |
Note: You must enter atleast one reference document detail when this page is launched for the first time. The document type and document ID combination must not be repeated in the multiline.
Click the "View File" link at the bottom of the multiline, to view the file details.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the reference document for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the reference documents selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit References” pushbutton to update the reference details.
Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent and you can configure further processing of this document in the "Workflow Management" business component.
Entering reference document details for task – An overview
This page allows you to enter the reference information for the task or sub task. The execution of task or sub task might involve referencing documents, manuals, drawings, etc. These details are recorded as the reference information “Edit Task References” in the page.
You can specify the document type, the reference document number, and the path where the reference document resides. The system updates the details and stores the name of the currently logged in user and the current server date.
