Entering model effectivity details for the task
This page allow you to define the model effectivity, that is, indicate the applicability of the task for the aircraft models. Tell me more
Select the “Edit Model Effectivity” link at the bottom of the main page.
The “Edit Model Effectivity” page appears.
Note: This page can be invoked only when the selected task is not applicable for “Component”.
Note: This page is displayed only when the “Multiple Model Effectivity” option is set as “Allowed” in “Set Options” activity.
The system displays the following fields in the “Task Details” group box
Task # |
The task for which the model effectivity has to be defined. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the task for which the model effectivity has to be defined. |
Task Description |
The textual description of the task. |
Task Applicability |
Indicates whether the task is applicable for "Aircraft", "Engine" or "Component". |
Enter the following in the “Model Effectivity Details” multiline:
Aircraft Model # |
The aircraft model number (Alphanumeric, 20). Ensure that the aircraft model has already been defined in the “Create Aircraft Model” activity and is in the “Active” status. The model number should be unique within the multiline. The aircraft model # is mandatory, if you want to record comments. Help facility available. |
The system displays the following:

The description of the aircraft model. |
Record the following.

Any additional information on the applicability of the task to the aircraft model (Alphanumeric, 200). |

Note: You can identify the aircraft (belonging to the specified model) for which the task is applicable, in the “Aircraft Effectivity” page. If you do not specify the task applicability for the aircraft, the system displays “ALL”, assuming the task is applicable for all the aircraft belonging to the specified model. |

The system displays the following on click of the “Edit Effectivity” pushbutton: |

Created by |
The login user name of the employee who created the model effectivity record. |
Create Date/Time |
The date and time when the model effectivity record was created. |
Last Modified by |
The login user ID of the employee who most recently modified the model effectivity record. |
Last Modified Date/Time |
The date and time when the model effectivity record was most recently modified. |
Check the box in the multiline to mark the model for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the models selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Effectivity” pushbutton to add or modify the model effectivity details for the task.
Note: In the case of modifying the model effectivity details of a “Returned” task, the system changes the status of the task to “Fresh” status. The status log is also updated.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Edit Aircraft Effectivity” link at the bottom of the page to identify the aircraft of the specified model, for which the task is applicable.
Select the “Edit Mod # Effectivity” link at the bottom of the page to modify the aircraft model details.
Select the “View Maint. Operator Effectivity” link at the bottom of the page to view the maintenance operator effectivity details.
Entering model effectivity details for the task – An overview
In this page, you can define the model effectivity, that is, indicate the applicability of the task for the aircraft models. You can enter the aircraft model for which the task is applicable, and the corresponding model details are displayed in the multiline. You can further indicate, in the “Aircraft Effectivity” page, whether the selected task is applicable for all or some of the aircraft belonging to the specified model. The system updates the details of the models and sets the last modified date to the server date.
