Entering resource / sign-off requirements for access panel task
This page allow you to add or modify the details of resources required for executing the access panel task. Tell me more
Select the “Edit Resource / Sign-Off Requirements” link at the bottom of the “Edit Access Panel Task Information” page.
The “Edit Resource Requirements” page appears.
The system displays the following in the "Task Details" group box:
Task Applicability |
Indicates whether the access panel task is applicable for “Aircraft”, “Engine” or “Component”. |

The number identifying the base aircraft model on which the access panel task can be performed |
Task # |
The access panel task for which resource details are to be added or modified. |

Enter the following:
Resource Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the resource for which the details are to be added or modified. The options available are “Skills”, “Tools”, “Equipment“ and “Others”. The system sets the field to “Skills” by default. |
Update based on Actuals |
Check this box if you wish to update the resource details based on the actual details of resources consumed during execution of the access panel task can be updated. |
Click the “Get details” pushbutton to retrieve the resource details that are already defined for the access panel task and resource type combination.
Enter the following fields to modify these details or add new resources for the access panel task in the “Resource Details” multiline:

The resource required for completing the access panel task. Mandatory. Ensure that the resource of type “Skills” is defined in the “Create Employee File“ activity of the “Employee Information” business component and is in “Active” status. Ensure that the resource of type “Tools”, “Others” and “Equipment” is defined in the “Work Center” business component and is in “Active” status. For each resource type, the resource number must be unique within the multiline. (Alphanumeric, 40). |

Enter the following fields:
Time Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the unit of measurement in which the resource time will be specified, which could be “Hours”, “Minutes” or “Days”. The system sets the field to “Hours” by default. |
Est. Time |
The number of hours, minutes or days for which the resource is required to complete the access panel task (numeric). Mandatory. The value entered here must be positive. For “skill” type resources, if the sum of estimated duration, in terms of hours, is greater than the total man-hours estimated for the access panel task, the system automatically sets the estimated man-hours to the sum of the estimated duration entered in the multiline. |
Est. Nos. |
The number of resources required for completing the task (integer). Ensure that the value entered in this field is positive. |
Approval Reqd.? |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the resource is an approved resource or not. The options available are Yes” and “No” and the system displays “No” by default. |
Sign-Off? |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the user has to sign after the task has been carried out by the resource. The options available are “Yes” and “No” and the system sets the field to "Yes" by default. This field is applicable only for “Skill” type resources. |
Note: Ensure that at least one record exists in the multiline.
Check the box in the “Select” column to mark the resource details for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the resources selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Resources” pushbutton to update the resource details.
Note: The system displays an error message, if any other concurrent user attempts to simultaneously modify the resource details.
If a resource of type “Skills” is added in the “Resource Details” multiline, then the system copies the all the sub tasks defined for the “Task #” specified in the “Task Details” group box, against the resource number if the “Sign-Off?” field is set as “Yes” for the new resource.
Note: If the resource group of one of the sub tasks that is being copied, is identified as “Not Required”, then the system ignores the sub task during the copying process.
The system displays the following field in the “Resource Sign-Off Information” group box:
Resource Type |
The type of the resource, which could be “Tools”, “Others”, “Skills” or “Equipment”. The system displays “Skills” by default. |
Enter the following field in the “Resource Sign-Off Information” group box:

Use the drop-down list box to specify the resource required for completing the task. The system lists all the resources specified in the “Resource Details” multiline, for which “Resource Type” is “Skills” and “Sign-Off?” flag is set as “Yes”. |
Note: If resources are deleted in the “Resource Details” multiline, the system automatically removes the corresponding resources from the “Resource #” drop-down list box.
Click the “Get details” pushbutton provided alongside to retrieve the sub-task details for the access panel task number, aircraft model number and resource number combination.
The system displays the following fields in the “Sub-Task Sign-Off Information” multiline, on clicking the “Get Details” pushbutton:
The system lists all the sub-tasks of the resources for which the “Sign-Off? flag is set as “Yes” in the “Resource Details” multiline.

Use the drop-down list box to specify the resource group. The system lists the following options:

Note: You can set the “Resource Group” only to “Inspector” or “Not Required”, if the resource group of the sub-task is set to “Inspector” in the previous page.
Note: You can set the “Resource Group” only to “Mechanic” or “Not Required”, if the resource group of the sub-task is set as “Mechanic” in the previous page.
Note: If resources are deleted in the “Resource Details” multiline, the system automatically removes the corresponding sub-task details from the multiline.
Click the "Edit Sign-Off Details" pushbutton to update the sign-off details.
The system updates the sub tasks and corresponding resource group against the task number and aircraft model number combination.
Entering resource / sign-off requirements for access panel task– An overview
This option allows you to add or modify the details of resources required for executing the access panel task. If you wish to define the resources for the access panel task, you can enter details such as resource code, estimated duration, and number of resources needed against each resource type. You can also indicate whether the resource should be an approved resource or not and whether sign off is required for the “Skill” type resource. Based on this information during work reporting sign off sheet will be automatically generated by the system. You can also retrieve resources that have already been defined for the access panel task and modify its details.
This page also allows you to update the sign-off details pertaining to the task. You can also assign the tasks and sub tasks to resource groups in this page.
The system updates the resource/sign-off details and sets the last modified date to the current server date.

You can indicate, whether the resource details has to be updated based on the actual details of resource consumed during the execution of access panel task is updated.
Check the “Update Based on Actuals” box to update the resources with the actual resources consumed.

Set the “Resource Type’ drop-down list box to “Skill” to add skill type resource to access panel task.
Set the “Resource Type’ drop-down list box to “Tools” to add the tools required for access panel task.
Set the “Resource Type’ drop-down list box to “Equipment” to add the equipment required for access panel task.
Set the “Resource Type’ drop-down list box to “Others” to add other type of resource required for access panel task.
