Inquire Earliest Available Date – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to inquire on the earliest date by which the part would be available, in a warehouse. The system displays the quantity of part that would be available in the warehouse on the earliest date.
For example, if you raise a request for a quantity of say 100 of the part “P001” for some maintenance operation, the system calculates the date by which a free stock of 100 will be available, and displays the date as the “Earliest Available Date” for the 100 numbers of the part requested. You also have an option to view the availability as a staggered set of dates. This means that for the same 100 quantity, you can view three earliest available dates, such as “EA Date1 Quantity: 30”, “EA Date2 Quantity: 30” and “EA Date3 Quantity: 40”.
The system provides two inquiry options, namely, “Single” and “Staggered”.

You can set the inquiry option to “Single” or “Staggered”, while retrieving the earliest dates by which the part would be available.
Set the “EAD Option” to “Single”, to calculate the earliest date by which the entire quantity of the stock required would be available.
Set the “EAD Option” to “Staggered”, to calculate the various dates on which the stock would be available, and the quantity of stock that would be available on these dates.
