Selecting BPO for creating the release slip
This page allows you to select the BPO for creating the RS. Tell me more.
Select the “Create Release Slip” link under the “Release Slip” business component.
The “Select BPO” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box:
BPO # |
A number that identifies the BPO document based on which you create the RS (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Select the “Create Release Slip” link provided alongside, to create the RS.
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for the BPO:
BPO # |
A number that identifies the BPO document (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the BPO number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the BPOs whose BPO numbers are similar to the number entered here. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the BPOs which are in the “Open” or “NT Closed” status. |
Agreement # |
The code that identifies the agreement document based on which the BPO was created (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the agreement number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the BPOs that have agreement numbers similar to the number entered here. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the BPOs, irrespective of the agreement. |
BPO Date From |
The starting date, in the range of BPO dates, from which the BPO details must be retrieved (Date Format). The system lists all the BPOs that are raised on or earlier than this date. The system displays the date that is one month earlier than the current system date by default. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the BPOs, irrespective of the starting date. |
Note: The date entered in “BPO Date From” must be earlier than or equal to the date entered in “BPO Date To”.
BPO Date To |
The ending date in the range of BPO dates until which the BPO details must be retrieved (Date Format). Ensure that this date is earlier than or equal to the current system date. The system lists all the BPOs that are raised on or earlier than this date. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the BPOs, irrespective of the ending date of the BPO. The system displays the current system date, by default. |
Part # |
The part number (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the BPOs that have part numbers similar to the number entered here. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the BPOs, irrespective of the part. |
BPO Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the BPO. The various BPO types are “Rate”, “Quantity” and “Value”. The system retrieves all the BPOs of the type specified here. The system displays “Rate” by default. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the BPOs irrespective of the type of the BPO. |
Part Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the part type. The part types are predefined. The various part types available are “Raw Material”, “Expendable”, ”Tool”, “Consumable”, “Miscellaneous” and ”Kit”. The system retrieves all the BPOs that have parts of the type specified here. The system leaves the field blank by default. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the BPOs irrespective of the part type. |
BPO Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the category to which the BPO belongs. All the “Active” quick codes defined for BPO in the “Create Common Category” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component are listed down for selection. The system retrieves all the BPOs whose category is the same as that specified here. The system leaves the field blank by default. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the BPOs irrespective of the category. |
Supplier # |
The code identifying the supplier (Alphanumeric, 45). You can enter the supplier code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the BPOs containing supplier numbers similar to the number entered here. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the BPOs, irrespective of the supplier code. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the BPO. The system displays the options, “Open” and “NT Closed”. The system retrieves all the BPOs whose status is the same as the one specified here. The system leaves the field blank by default. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the BPOs irrespective of the status. |
BPO Location |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the location of the BPO. The system lists all the organization units that are associated with the login organization unit. The system retrieves all the BPOs raised in the organization unit specified here. The system leaves the field blank by default. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the BPOs irrespective of the BPO location. |
User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the user-defined status of the BPO. All the “Active” user status defined for BPO in the “Create User Status” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component are listed down for selection. The system retrieves all the BPOs whose user-defined status is the same as the one specified here. The system sets the field blank by default. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the BPOs, irrespective of the user-defined status. |
Leave all the search fields blank, to retrieve all the BPOs in the “Open” or “NT Closed” status.
Click the “Search” pushbutton, to retrieve the BPOs.
The system displays the following “Search Results” multiline.
BPO # |
The BPO number retrieved by the system. |
BPO Amendment # |
The latest amendment number of the BPO. |
BPO Date |
The date on which the BPO was raised. |
Supplier # |
The code that identifies the supplier. |
Supplier Name |
The name of the supplier. |
Status |
The status of the BPO, which could be either “Open” or “NT Closed”. |
BPO Category |
The category to which the BPO belongs. |

Selecting BPO for creating the release slip – An overview
You can directly enter the BPO number if you know it or carry out the search using number, agreement number, range of created dates, part number, part type, supplier, BPO type, category, status, location and user-defined status of the BPO. The system displays the BPO, which are in the “Open” or “NT Closed” status, as per the search criteria.
