The “Select Part #” page appears.

Part #

The part number for which the rental order must be created (Alphanumeric, 40). Ensure that the part number is already defined in the “Part Administration” business component.

Serial #

The serial number of the part to be rented (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter this number if the part is of control type “Serial controlled”.

Component #

The number identifying the component to be rented (Alphanumeric, 90).  You can enter this number if the part is of  type “component”.

Part #

The part number for which the rental order must be created (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all parts that are similar to the number entered here.

Part Description

The textual description of the part (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all parts with part descriptions that are similar to the description entered here.

Component #

The number identifying the component belonging to the part (Alphanumeric, 90). You can enter the component number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the parts with component numbers that are similar to the number entered here.

Serial #

The serial number of the Part (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the serial number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the parts with serial numbers that are similar to the number entered here.  

Location

Use the drop-down list box to select the storage location of the part. The system lists all the organizational units in which the part can be stocked. The system retrieves the parts that belong to the location selected here.  

Condition

Use the drop-down list box to select the condition of the part, which can be “New”, “Overhauled” or "Serviceable". The system retrieves all the parts that are of the condition selected here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all parts in the “New”, "Overhauled” or “Serviceable” condition.

Part Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of part.  The system displays the values based on the value set for the “Allowable Part Types for Rental Order” option in “Set Options” activity.

Part Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the category to which the part belongs. The system lists all part categories defined in the “Part Administration” business component. The system retrieves all the parts belonging to this category.

Stock Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the stock status of the part. The system lists all the active stock statuses with “Ownership-Internal” set as “Yes” for which the transaction ”Rental Order” is mapped. If the “Rent parts on behalf of customer” in the “Purchase Options Setting” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component is set as “Allowed” then the active stock statuses with “Ownership-Customer” set as “Yes” will also be listed in addition to the internal stock statuses.

Warehouse #

Use the drop-down list box to select the warehouse from which the part can be issued. The system lists all the ‘active’ warehouses defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration” business component.

Trading Partner #

The Customer # of the group company for which the rental order is created in the login organization.

With Serial / Lot Nos

Check this box to display the  serial number / lot number details for  serial / lot controlled parts in the multiline . By default the system sets the field as checked.

For Alternate Part #

Check this box to display the details of the alternate part in the multiline.

For Part in Assemblies

Check this box to display the details of the part in assemblies. The position code and other configuration details of the part will be displayed in the multiline.

Note: If you have selected the part type as “Others”, the system retrieves the details of parts of type other than “Component”. The system retrieves the details only for available, unallocated parts.

Note: Leave all the fields blank to retrieve all the parts, irrespective of the search criteria entered.

The system displays the following fields in the "Search Results" multiline:

Part #

The part number retrieved by the system.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Alternate Part #

The number identifying the alternate part identified for the part.

Component #

The number identifying the component belonging to the part.

Serial #

The serial number of the part.

Lot#

The number identifying the lot to which the part belongs.

Location

The organizational unit in which the part is stocked.

Warehouse #

The number identifying the warehouse from which the part can be issued.

Stock Status

The stock status of the part.

NHA

The next higher assembly or the parent part.

Position Code

The position code to which the part is fitted.

UOM

The unit of measurement for the part.

Quantity

The quantity of the part.

Condition

The condition of the part, which could be “New”, “Overhauled” or “Serviceable”.

Part Type

The type of the part.

Part Category

The category to which the part belongs.

Create Rental Order - A summary of the activity

This page enables you to select a part for creating a rental order. If you know the part details, you can directly enter the part number, serial number and component number. Or, you can carry out a search based on the part number, part description, component number, serial number, location, warehouse code, stock status, condition, part type and part category. You can also specify whether the details of the alternate part and the part in assemblies must be displayed in the multiline. If the required Part is available in the inventory, the part details will be displayed in the multiline. Based on which, a part can be selected as a multiline item for creating the rental order.
