Using Online Help

This page enables you to view the details of the selected work package. Tell me more.

The “View Aircraft Work Package” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

The system displays the following fields in the “Work Package Details” group box:

Work Package #

The number identifying the work package for which the details must be displayed

Status

The status of the work package, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”.

Package Desc

The textual description of the work package

Zoom facility available.

Package Category

The category of the work package.

Execution Type

The execution type of work package, which could be one of the following:

 
  • Major – indicates that the work package is for a major check and the aircraft must be sent to the hangar for maintenance.

 
  • Minor – indicates that the work package must be executed as a part of line maintenance.

Primary Model #

The primary aircraft model specified for the work package.

Configuration Class

The configuration class specified for the work package.

Model Effectivity

Indicates whether the work package is applicable for a single aircraft model or multiple aircraft models. The system displays either “Single” or “Multiple”.

Primary Work Center #

The work center where the work package must be performed

Primary Work Center Desc

The textual description of the work center.

Zoom facility available.

The system displays the following in the “Execution Time Details” group box:

Total Est. Duration

The total time estimated for completing the work package, which also includes the preparatory time, post execution time etc.

Preparatory Time

The preparatory time required before executing the work package.

Wrench Time

The actual time required for completing the work package.

Ideal Time

The ideal time required for completing the work package.

Starting Day

The starting day  on which the work unit has to be executed.

Est. Man Hrs.

The total man-hours estimated for the work package execution.

Post Exe. Cleanup Time

The cleaning up time required after executing the work package.

Note: The system also displays the time unit as "Months", "Hours" or "Days", for the Total Est. Duration, Preparatory Time, Ideal Time and Post Exe. Cleanup Time.

The system displays the following field in the “Work Unit Details” multiline:

Link Info

Indicates whether work unit relationship information is defined for the work unit in the multiline. The system displays the Rel – if work unit relationship information is available

Note: The system leaves the field blank if no details are available.

Seq #

The sequence in which the work unit should be performed in the work package.

Work Unit #

The task or the standard procedure, to be performed as part of the work package

Work Unit Type

The type of the work unit, which could be “Task” or “Standard Procedure”.

Work Center #

The work center where the work unit must be performed

Est. Man Hrs.

The total man-hours estimated for executing the work unit

Time Unit

The unit of measurement for the time allotted for the work unit. The time unit could be “Minutes”, ”Hours” or “Days”.

Est. Time

The time estimated for completing the task or standard procedure.

MPD Item #

The Maintenance Planning Document number providing additional information pertaining to the task or standard procedure.

Priority

The priority assigned to the work unit.

Mandatory ?

Indicates whether the work unit execution is mandatory in the work package. The system displays “Yes” or “No”.

Expense Type

The type of expense to be incurred on executing the work package. This could be either “Revenue” or “Capital”.

Job Type

Indicates whether the work unit must be performed on an aircraft or on the components fitted to the aircraft. The system displays either “Aircraft’ or “OnWing”.

Maintenance Type

Indicates whether the type of maintenance to be performed is a “Repair”, “Inspection” or “Overhaul”.

Position Code

The position code on the aircraft where the work unit must be performed.

Level Code

The number identifying the level for the position code that occurs in the primary model.

Other References

Any other references based on which the work unit is specified for the work package

Work Unit Desc

The textual description of the work unit.

Work Center Description

The textual description of the work center.

The system displays the following details in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the work package details.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who modified the last modified the work package details.

Created Date

The date on which the work package was created

Last Modified Date

The date on which the work package was last modified.

Viewing aircraft work package information – An overview

View work package - a summary of the activity

This page enables you to view the details of the selected work package. Details such as the work package description, its status, category, type, primary work center, total estimated duration, preparatory time, post clean-up time, estimated man hours are displayed

Work unit details such as the work unit number, type and the work center where the work unit has to be performed are also displayed. Other work unit details such as estimated time, priority, estimated man-hours and whether the work unit execution is mandatory or not are displayed.
