This page enables you to specify the resources required for carrying out a work package in the maintenance program. Tell me more

The “Edit Package Level Resource Requirements” page appears.

The system displays the following in the “Work Package Details” group box:

Maintenance Program #

The maintenance program for which the work package is specified.

Revision #

The revision number of the maintenance program. The system retrieves the latest revision that is in a “Active” or “Fresh” status.

Program Desc

The description of the program.

Zoom facility available

Status

The status of the maintenance program, which can be “Fresh”, “Active”, “Inactive” or “Return”.

Work Package #

The work package selected in the main page, for which the resource requirements must be specified.

Package Desc

The textual description of the work package.

Zoom facility available.

Execution Type

The execution type of the work package, which can be “Major” or “Minor”.

Resource Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the resource for which the details are to be added or modified. The system provides the options "Skills”, “Tools”, ”Equipment” and “Others”. The system sets the field to “Skills” by default.

Resource #

The resource required for executing the work package (Alphanumeric, 40). If the resource type selected in the “Resource Type” field is “Tools”, “Equipment” or “Others”, ensure that the resource code entered in this field is already defined in the “Create Facility” activity of the “Work Center” business component. If the resource type selected is “Skills”, ensure that the resource code is already defined as a skill in the “Maintain Skills” activity of the “HR Setup” business component. Also, ensure that the resource code is in “Active” status.

Time Unit

Use the drop-down list box to specify the unit of measurement for the resource time, which could be “Minutes”, “Hours” or “Days”. The system sets the field to “Hours” by default.

Est. Time

The number of hours, minutes or days the resource is required, to execute the work package (Decimal). Data entry in this field is mandatory if the resource code is specified. Ensure that the duration entered is positive.

Est. Nos

The number of resources required for executing the work package (Integer). Data entry in this field is mandatory if the resource code is specified. Ensure that the quantity entered is positive.

Approval Required ?

Use the drop-down list box and set the field to “Yes”, to indicate that approval is required for using the resource. The system displays “No” by default.

The system fills in the following field after clicking the “Edit Resources Requirements” pushbutton:

Resource Description

The textual description of the resource.

 

 

 

Entering resource requirement details for a work package in the maintenance program – An overview

Edit Maintenance Program - A summary of the activity

You can add or modify the details of resources required for executing the work package of a maintenance program. If you wish to assign resources for the work package, you can enter details such as the resource code, resource type, time unit, estimated duration for which the resource is required, and the number of resources needed. You can indicate whether an approval is required or not, for using the resource.

You can also modify the details of resources that have already been assigned for the work package. The system updates the resource details and sets the last modified date to the server date.
