Entering part requirement details for a work package in the maintenance program
This page enables you to specify the parts required for carrying out a work package in the maintenance program. Tell me more
Select the “Edit Package Level Part Requirements” link at the bottom of the “Edit Work Package Information” page.
The “Edit Package Level Part Requirements” page appears.
The system displays the following in the “Work Package Details” group box:
Maintenance Program # |
The maintenance program for which the work package is specified. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the maintenance program. The system retrieves the latest revision that is in a “Active” or “Fresh” status. |
Program Desc |
The description of the program. Zoom facility available |
Status |
The status of the maintenance program, which can be “Fresh”, “Active”, “Inactive” or “Return”. |
Work Package # |
The work package selected in the main page, for which the part requirements must be entered. |
Package Desc |
The textual description of the work package. Zoom facility available |
Execution Type |
The execution type of the work package, which can be “Major” or “Minor”. |
Enter the following field in the “Part Details” multiline:
Part # |
The part required for executing the work package (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. Ensure that the part is already defined in the "Create Parts Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component and is in “Active” status. The part number should be unique in the multiline. Help facility available. |
The system displays the following field on clicking the “Edit Parts Requirements” pushbutton:
Part Type |
The type of the part as defined in the “Part Administration” business component. |
Enter the following fields:
UOM |
The unit of measurement for the part (Alphanumeric, 10). The unit of measurement must be already defined in the "Create UOM” activity of the “Unit of Measurement Administration” business component. Data entry in this field is mandatory if the part number is entered. |

Est. Quantity |
The quantity of the part required for executing the work package (Integer). Data entry in this field is mandatory if the part number is specified. Ensure that the value entered here is a positive number. |
The system fills in the following field after clicking the “Update Parts Requirements” pushbutton:
Part Description |
The textual description of the part, as defined in the “Part Administration” business component. |
Check the box in the first column of the multiline, to mark the part for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline to delete the part selected in the multiline.
Click the "Edit Parts Details" pushbutton to update the part requirement details for the work package.
Entering part requirement details for a work package in the maintenance program – An overview
You can add or modify the details of parts required for executing the work package, specified for a maintenance program. On specifying the part number, the system displays the part type and description and allows you to modify the unit of measurement and the estimated quantity. The part details are updated and the system sets the last modified date to the current server date.

You can specify the parts that are needed for work package execution as a part of a maintenance program. You can enter the part number, unit of measurement for the part and the estimated quantity.
Enter the “Part #”, “UOM” and “Est. Quantity “fields in the “Part Details” multiline.
