This page allows you to view the details of tools for a specific applicability group or for the entire MCR .  Tell me more

The “View New Tools Required” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “MCR Details” group box:

MCR #

The number identifying the MCR for which the new tool requirement details are displayed.

Revision #

The revision number of the MCR.

Subject

The textual description of the MCR.

Source Doc Type

The type of the source document to which the MCR belongs.

Part Identifier

The identifier of the part as defined in the “Create Maintenance Change Request” activity, which could be one of the following:

 
  • Internal – Indicates that the MCR must be executed on the part that is available with the operator and is defined in the "Part Administration" component.

 
  • Supplier – Indicates that the MCR must be executed on the part supplied by the supplier. This part can be new or already defined as an alternate part in the "Part Administration" business component

Applicability Group #

Use the drop-down list box to select the group of aircraft, component or engine for which the MCR is applicable. The system lists the group numbers created in the “Aircraft Effectivity” page if the MCR is applicable for “Aircraft” or the group numbers defined in the “Component Effectivity” page if the MCR is applicable for “Component” or “Engine.

Leave this field blank to view new tool requirement details with respect to the MCR and the revision number combination.

The system displays the following fields in the “Facility Details” multiline:

Tool Part #

The part number identifying the new tool required for executing the MCR.

Description

The description of the new tool.

Est Nos

The total number of new tools estimated to execute the MCR on the selected applicability group.

Currency

The currency for the unit price.

Unit Price

The unit price of the tool.

Supplier Name

The name of the supplier from whom the tool can be purchased.

Time Unit

The time unit for purchasing the tool which could be “Days”, “Weeks”, “Months” or “Years”.

Purchase Lead Time

The time required for purchasing the tool.

View MCR - A summary of the activity

The execution of the MCR may require new tools, which are not provided by the operator. This page allows you to view the details of such tools for a specific applicability group or for the entire MCR. You can view the tool part number, the description, the estimated number of tools required for executing the MCR, the currency, the unit price of the tool, name of the supplier, time unit and the time required to purchase the tool. The details of other special tools, if any specified, can also be viewed in this page.
