MCR # / Rev. #

The number identifying the MCR / Revision for which the details must be revised (Alphanumeric, 18).

To search for a MCR

MCR #

The number identifying the MCR that you wish to revise. You can enter the MCR number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all MCR numbers that are similar to the number entered here.

Manufacturer Name

The name of the manufacturer who issued the MCR (Alphanumeric, 80). The system lists the MCR numbers issued by the manufacturer specified here.

Source

Use the drop-down list box to select the source which released the MCR. The system lists the options “Internal” and “External” and sets this field to “External” by default

Source Doc Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the modification document or the source document. The system lists the active modification document types created in the “Create MCR Document Type” activity of the “Common Master” business component that corresponds with the source selected in the “Source” field. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve MCRs irrespective of their source document type.

Additional Search

Use the drop-down list box to select the search criteria. The system lists the options “User Status”, “Mandatory?” and “Reliability Impact?” along with a blank value.

  • User Status – Specifies the user-defined status of the MCR.

  • Mandatory – Specifies whether the issue of the MCR is mandatory.

  • Reliability Impact – Specifies whether the MCR has reliability impact.  

 

Use the drop-down list box and select the value based on which the MCR details is to be retrieved. The system lists the values based on the option selected in the previous drop-down list box.

  • If ‘User Status’ is selected, the system lists all the ‘active’ quick codes that are of type “MCR User Status” defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity.

  • If ‘Mandatory?’ is selected, the system lists the values ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ along with a blank value.

  • If ‘Reliability Impact?’ is selected, the system lists the values ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ along with a blank value.

Applicability

Use the drop-down list box to specify the applicability of MCR. The system provides the following options:

 
  • Aircraft – Select this option to retrieve MCRs applicable for the aircraft.

 
  • Component – Select this option to retrieve MCRs applicable for the component.

 

  • Engine – Select this option to retrieve MCRs applicable for the engine.

Aircraft Model #

The number identifying the aircraft model (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the aircraft model number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all MCR numbers associated to the aircraft model specified here.

Part #

The number identifying the part on which the MCR must be executed (Alphanumeric, 40).  You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all MCR numbers for the part number entered here.

ATA #

The ATA chapter on which the MCR must be executed. You can enter the ATA number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the MCR numbers associated to the ATA # specified here.

Subject

To retrieve MCR focused on specific subject, specify the subject. You can enter the subject in full or specify it using the “*” character intermittently. The system retrieves those MCR with similar subject as that entered here.

Ref. Doc. #

To retrieve the MCR associated with specific reference document, select the reference document type from the drop-down list box and then enter the document # in the input box alongside. The drop-down list box displays all the Active document types defined in the “Create Reference Document Type” activity of Common Master. You can enter the reference doc # in full or specify it using the “*” character intermittently.

The system retrieves those MCR that were created based on the reference document with # similar to that you enter here.

Note: If all the above fields are left blank, the system lists all the MCRs created in the login organizational unit. The system retrieves only those MCRs that are in the “Confirmed” or “Processed” status.

The system displays the following details in the “Search Results” multiline:

MCR #

The number identifying the MCR for which the details must be revised.

Subject

The textual description of the MCR.

Revision

The revision number of the MCR, if any.

Source Doc Type

The type of the source document to which the MCR belongs.

Source

The category, to which the source belongs, which could be either “Internal” or “External”.

Mandatory?

Indicates whether the issue of the MCR is mandatory or not.

Reliability Impact?

Indicates whether the MCR has reliability impact or not.

MCR Class

The nature of execution of the MCR.

ATA #

The ATA chapter on which the MCR must be executed.

Regulatory Authority

Selecting MCR for revision – An overview

Revise MCR - A summary of the activity

This page allows you to select an MCR for which the details must be revised. You can carry out a search for an MCR based on the MCR number, status, source that issued the MCR, the type of the source document or MCR, user-status, applicability of the MCR and the name of the OEM who issued the MCR. The system displays the details such as MCR number, subject, revision number (if any), source document type, source, the nature of the execution of MCR, ATA chapter number and the regulatory authority who issued or approved the MCR in the multiline.
