Defining sub tasks for the MCR
This page allows you to enter the details of the sub tasks for the tasks to be performed while executing the MCR . Tell me more
Select the “Edit Sub Tasks” link at the bottom of the “Edit Task Information” page.
The “Edit Sub Tasks” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the “MCR Details” group box:
MCR # |
The number identifying the MCR for which the sub-task details must be entered. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the MCR, if any. |
Subject |
The textual description of the MCR. |
Source Doc Type |
The type of the source document to which the MCR belongs. |
Applicability Group # |
The number identifying the applicability group. |
Enter the following field in the “Task Details” group box to select the row number of the tasks entered in the “Edit Task Information” page, for which the sub tasks have to be entered:

Use the drop-down list box to select the row number of the tasks entered in the “Edit Task Information” page, for which the sub task details must be entered. The system lists all the row numbers of the tasks defined for the applicability group. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton.
The system displays the following fields:
Task # |
The task entered in the previous page, in the selected row. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the task. |
Task Description |
The textual description of the task. |
Enter the following fields in the “Sub-Task Details” multiline to add sub tasks:
Seq # |
The sequence in which the sub tasks should be performed, while executing the task specified in the MCR (Integer). Ensure that the sequence number is a positive integer and is unique in the multiline. |
If you have left the sequence number blank, the system automatically assigns a sequence number to each of them, in the order in which they are entered in the multiline, on clicking the “Edit Sub-Tasks” pushbutton. Ensure that you do not leave it blank for any of the sub tasks occurring in between. |

Sub Tasks |
The sub task that must be performed while executing the task (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory. |
Resource Group |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the task should be performed by “Inspector”, “Mechanic” or “Both”. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
AMM / CMM Item # |
The Aircraft Maintenance Manual or the Component Maintenance Manual item number given in the respective manuals (Alphanumeric, 40). |
File Name |
The file name of the document that contains the sub-task details (Alphanumeric, 50). Help facility available. |
If you wish to insert sub tasks in the multiline and assign sequence number for them, click the “Re – Sequence” pushbutton to rearrange the existing rows in the ascending order of the sequence number. The system regenerates the sequence number in multiples of five, thereby enabling you to specify the sequence number for the newly added sub task.
Select the “View File” link at the bottom of the multiline, to view the file details.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the sub task for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the sub tasks selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Sub-Tasks” pushbutton to update the sub-task details.
Defining sub tasks for the MCR – An overview
In this page, you can enter the details of the sub tasks for the tasks to be performed while executing the MCR. You can select the row number of the tasks entered in the “Edit Task Information” page and specify the sub task details. You can enter the sub-task and the sequence in which the sub-task must be performed and the resource group that would perform the sub-task. If you have not entered the sequence number, the system assigns the sequence numbers for the tasks in the order in which they are entered. You can also regenerate sequence numbers if you wish to add a sub-task to the existing set of sub tasks.

You can identify sub tasks for the tasks, that must be performed for carrying out MCR.
Select the line number of the task in the “Line #” drop-down list box.
Enter the sub tasks for the task in the “Sub-Task Details” multiline.
