This page allows you to define the details of the parts provided by the operator to carry out the task .  Tell me more

The “Edit Parts Provided by Operator” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “MCR Details” group box:

MCR #

The number identifying the MCR for which the details of the parts provided by the operator must be specified.

Revision #

The revision number of the MCR, if any.

Subject

The textual description of the MCR.

Source Doc Type

The type of the source document to which the MCR belongs.

Applicability Group #

The number identifying the applicability group.

Part Identifier

The identifier of the part as defined in the “Create Maintenance Change Request” page, which could be one of the following:

 
  • Internal - indicates that the MCR must be executed on the part, which is already available with the operator. This internal part is already defined in the "Create Parts Main Information" activity of the "Part Administration" business component.

 
  • Supplier - indicates that the MCR must be executed on the part supplied by the supplier. This part can be a new part or an alternate part that is defined in the "Maintain Alternate Part Nos" activity of the "Part Administration" business component.

Line #

Use the drop-down list box to select the row number of the tasks entered in the “Edit Task Information” page, for which the details of the parts supplied by the operator must be entered. The system lists all the row numbers of the tasks defined for the applicability group

The system displays the following fields:

Task #

The task entered in the previous page, in the selected row.

Revision #

The revision number of the task.

Task Description

The textual description of the task.

Default Stock UOM

Check this box if you wish to specify the stock UOM for the part numbers. If this box is checked the system saves the stock UOM defined for the part in the “Part Administration” business component on clicking the “Edit Configuration Change Information” pushbutton.

The system displays the multiline fields if the details have already been defined for the task:

Part #

The number identifying the part provided by the operator (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory.

Part Description

The textual description of the part (Alphanumeric, 150). Data entry in this field is mandatory if the part is not already defined in the “Part” business component.

Note: For an internal part that has already been defined, if you have not entered the description, the system fills in the description and the UOM for the part from the “Part Administration” business component, on clicking the “Edit Part Details” pushbutton. For a part supplied by the supplier, the system fills in the description and UOM of the equivalent part number defined in the “Part Administration” business component. If the part supplied is new, entry of part description is mandatory.

UOM

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement for the part. The system lists all the active UOM codes defined in the “UOM” business component. Selection of value in this field is mandatory if you have entered the part number or quantity and not checked the “Default Stock UOM” box.

Quantity

Edit MCR - A summary of the activity

The task requirement details or the details of the parts provided by the operator to carry out the task can be defined in this page. You can enter the details with respect to the tasks entered in the “Edit Task Information” page. You can specify the part number, its description, the unit of measurement for the part and the resource group that would execute the task.
