Set Stock Demand Management Options – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to set options for the fields in the activities of the “Stock Demand Management” business component. You can set the following options in this page:

• Specify the numbering type for issuing parts automatically from the stock received, and for automatic stock transfer transactions.

• Define the ‘Request Matrix’ for transferring stocks of particular part type from different warehouses to the requested warehouse. ’Request matrix’ enables you to set up the list of warehouses containing free quantity of requested part and part type, in case the part requested through a material request (of “Normal” or “AOG” priority) is not available in the requested warehouse.

• Specify the sequence in which the warehouse must be searched for free stock for the specified material request priority. If the stock is available in the warehouse defined for the specified priority, the system automatically issues the part from the warehouse to the requesting warehouse.
