Recording Task Actions
Task Actions window
The task Actions window enables users to record the start and end dates of execution of the task, record execution comments and then perform task sign off and compliance.
On launch of the Task Actions window (on click of the Task Action pushbutton), the Mechanic field in the Sign Off Details group box automatically displays the employee code of the login user under the below-fulfilled conditions:
The process parameter 'Default Sign Off Details in the Task/Discrepancy Action popup in the Work Reporting Hub?' under the entity type 'Package Type' and entity Log Card and User-Defined Packages is is ‘1’/ Yes in the Define Process Parameters activity of Common Master.
The Sign off status is 'Pending Mechanic' or 'Pending Mech&Insp', the login user belongs to 'Mechanic', 'Mechanic & Inspector' resource group and has the requisite skills to Sign Off the task as an Mechanic and Inspector
The Sign off status is either 'Pending Inspector' or 'Pending Mech&Insp', the login user belongs to either 'Inspector' or 'Mechanic & Inspector' resource group and has the requisite skills to Sign Off the task as an Inspector
Click
on the
pushbutton.
The Task Actions window appears.
The window displays the following for the task that you selected in the multiline of the “Work Reporting Hub” page.
Task # |
The task in the package for which you wish to enter details. |
Description |
The description for the task in the package for which you wish to enter details. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status based on the action you wish to carry out on the task. |
In the Actual Date & Time group box, enter the following:
Start |
The date on and time at which the execution of the task commences. |
End |
The date on and time at which the execution of the task concludes. |
In the “Execution Comments” group box, enter the following:
New Comments |
Additional details on the task/package. Process parameter dependency: New comments becomes mandatory for stopping clock whether it happens automatically or manually, if the process parameter "Mandate New Execution Comments for Tasks during Stop Clock in the Work Reporting Hub?" defined under the entity type Package Type and the entity Log Card in the Define Process Entities activity of Common Master is set as 1 for Yes. |
Click the “Add pushbutton” to append the new comments to the comments history.
In the multiline, enter the following:

Additional information on the execution of the task from the inspector or mechanic. Process parameter dependency: This field is mandatory based on the two process parameters - “Allow Task sign off without any Execution Comments?” and “Allow completion/closure of Tasks without any Execution Comments?” defined under Entity type Package Type and Entity 'Log Card' and all user-defined entities in the Define Process Entities activity of Common Master. The table next illustrates the function of the process parameters.
Process Parameter dependency: You can change previous execution comments based on the value of the process parameter "Allow modification of Previous Execution Comments in the Work Reporting Hub?" defined under the entity type Package Type and the entity Log Card in the Define Process Entities activity of Common Master. See the table below to know of the impact of the process parameter on the Previous Execution Comments field .

The date on and time at which the execution comments were recorded by the user. |
In the “Sign Off Details” group box, under Sign Off Requirement, do the following:

1. The process parameter 'Default Sign Off Details in the Task/Discrepancy Action popup in the Work Reporting Hub?' under the entity type 'Package Type' and entity Log Card and User-Defined Packages is is ‘1’/ Yes in the Define Process Parameters activity of Common Master.

Select the check box and enter the name of the mechanic who did the sign off for the task in the adjacent input box. Help facility available |
Inspector |
Select the check box and enter the name of the inspector who did the sign off for the task in the adjacent input box. Note: A mechanic cannot reverse / revert the sign off of an inspector. Help facility available |
RII |
Select the check box and enter the name of the inspector who did the RII sign off for the task in the adjacent input box. Note: A mechanic cannot reverse / revert the RII sign off. Process Parameter dependencies for RII Sign-off Help facility available |
Additional |
Select the check box to enter the name of another employee who also participated in the task sign off in the adjacent input box. in addition to mechanic and inspector. |
