Requesting Part requirements
Select the “Part Requirements / Request” tab in the “Parts Hub” page.
Select the “Simple / Detail” radio button to view the necessary columns in the multiline. The simple view hides Display Only columns so that the other important columns are easily accessible.
Status based Search
Note: The below-mentioned Status/Exception and Search sections are all exclusive of each other. You cannot combine the filters. Toggling between them will reset the search filter applied by the previous filter.
Click the icon to
perform status based search.
The Card section shows the breakup/count of material requests associated with the execution document based on the MR status.
All |
The count of all part requests against the task in the package. Click on the count to display the part requests in the multiline. |
Pending |
The count of part requests against the task for which Material Request # has not been generated yet. Click on the count to display the part requests in the multiline. |
Authorized |
The count of part requests for which Material Request # has been authorized. Click on the count to display the material requests in the multiline. |
Partially Issued/Recd. |
The count of part requests that have been partially issued for the task. Click on the count to display the part requests in the multiline. |
Completely Issued/Recd. |
The count of part requests that have been completely issued for the task. Click on the count to display the part requests in the multiline. |
Short Closed |
The count of part requests that have been short closed for the task. Click on the count to display the part requests in the multiline. Process Parameter dependency: The Short Closed tile appears only if the process parameter “Display Short Closed Material Requests in Parts Hub?” under the entity type Package Type and the entity All user defined package types including Log Card is set as '1' for 'Yes' in the "Define Process Entities" activity of "Common Master" business component. |
Exception based Search
This section shows the count of items in the multiline with various exceptions.
Click
the Icon to perform exception
based search.
The system displays the following exception details as buttons in the “Exception” section. The number of records available for each exception based search item is displayed within the respective buttons.
All |
The count of part requests for the task. Click on the count to display the part requests in the multiline. |
Material Not Available |
Displays the count of part requests against which the requested quantity is not available in the requested warehouse # for the task. Click on the count to display the part requests in the multiline. |
Need Date Crossed |
The count of part requests for which need date has elapsed for the task. Click on the count to display the part requests in the multiline. |
Pending New Part Creation |
Displays the count of part requests that are raised for new part for the task. Click on the count to display the part requests in the multiline. |
Specific Search
Click
the icon ‘’ to search part requirement
details based on the search criteria specified.
Search has the traditional Search Criteria and Advanced Search Criteria. On clicking this icon, the following fields appear.
Search By |
Use the drop-down list box to select the attribute based on which you wish to retrieve part request / requirement records. Enter the value for the attribute in the input box located next

Show Requested |
Check this box if you wish to retrieve all the part requests. Un check to retrieve only the part requirements. |
Click the “Go” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
To refine search, you can specify more filters in the “Additional Search Criteria” group box:
Material Request |
The material request number based on which you wish to retrieve details in the multiline. Help facility available. |
Part # |
The code identifying the part. Help facility available. |
Warehouse # |
The unique number identifying the warehouse. Help facility available. |
Line Level Status |
Use the drop-down list box and select the status of the MR based on which you wish to retrieve details in the multiline. The system lists the following options:

Need Date |
The date on which the parts will be consumed or needed. |
Search On |
Use the drop-down list box and select the basis on which you wish to search. You can select from the following options:

In the editable box alongside, enter the value corresponding to the search criteria selected in the “Search On” field. |
Click the “Go” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
Viewing / Updating Retrieved Data
The multiline displays the following details of part requests for tasks/discrepancies from the AME Ref. #.
Note: However, if you have navigated to this page from the Work Reporting Hub page using the “Request Part” link, the multiline displays part requests of tasks / discrepancies selected in the Work Reporting Hub page depending on the value set for the process parameter “Default fetch of selected tasks/discrepancies from Work Reporting Hub in Parts Hub?” under entity type ‘Package Type’ and entity ‘All Packages’ in the “Define Process Parameters” activity of Common Master. The below table illustrates the part request retrieval in the multiline based on the process parameter value.

Note: Blank requests for parts for tasks / discrepancies facilitate users to input merely a few fields specific to individual material requests, such as Part # while the rest of the task / package information is inherited from Work Reporting Hub. This intuitive facility enables users to create material requests in the shortest time by cutting down time and navigation.

Priority |
Use the drop down list box to select the user-defined priority for execution of the task. Mandatory. The drop-down list box displays the quick codes defined under the quick code type ‘Priority’ in the Define Process Parameters activity of Common Master. |
Stock Status |
Use the drop down list box to select the stock status of the part to be procured. Mandatory. The drop-down list box displays the system-defined and user-defined stock statuses. |
Warehouse # |
Use the drop down list box to select the unique number identifying the warehouse. Mandatory. The drop-down list box displays the Active warehouses defined in Storage Administration. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
Need Date |
The date on which the parts will be consumed or needed. Process parameter dependency: If the process parameter ‘Enforce Need Date for Material Requests in Parts Hub’ under In the entity type Package Type and the entity Log Cards and User Defined Values in the Define Process Entities activity of Common Master is defined as ‘1’ / ‘Yes’, it becomes mandatory for the users to specify the Need Date field for the part. However, if the process parameter is set as ‘0’/’No’, the system defaults the Need Date field to the requested date, if the users do not specify the need date. |
Request Mode |
Use the drop-down list box to select the request mode in which the request for the part was created. The drop-down list box displays the following: Normal, Conditional Requisition and Force Requisition. |
Need Freq. |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate the regularity of requests for the part. The drop-down list box displays the following: Always and As Required. |

Material Request # |
The unique number identifying the material request against which you wish to request parts for maintenance. Click the hyperlink to open the “View Material Request” page to view details of the material request. |

The substitute part # for the part. Help facility available. |

Additional details of the part or substitute or part. |

The system displays the following in the multiline.
Issue # |
The issue document generated against the requested part. Click the hyperlink to open the “View Issue Details” page to view details of issue generated against the part request. |
Issue Status |
The status of the issue document against the requested part. |
Message Center |
Indicates whether estimate for the part is mandatory for request. |
Click the “Save Part Requirement” pushbutton to record the material request details.
Click the “Request Part” pushbutton to confirm the part requirements and generate material request.
From pushbutton drop-down list,
Select the “Print MMD” pushbutton to generate the material movement document for confirmed issues against the material request.
Select the “Check Part Avl” pushbutton to find out the current availability of part.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to cancel a pending material request.
Select the “Short Close” pushbutton to short close a material request.
Process Parameter Dependency: If the process parameter “Delete Part Requirements on short closure of Material Request?" is set as '1' for 'Yes' under the entity type Package Type and the entity “All User Defined Package Type including Log Card” in the “Define Process Entities” activity of Common Master, on short close of a part request, the system cancels the part request against the task / discrepancy.
