This page allows you to modify or update the details of the exchange order. The page also enables you to track various events that have occurred against an exchange order.
Click the hyperlinked exchange order number in the search multiline in the “Manage Exchange Order” activity.
The “Manage Exchange Order” page appears.
The following fields are displayed in the “Exchange Order Info” group box:
Exchange Order # |
The number identifying the exchange order document. |
Exchange Type |
The type of the exchange, which could be “Exchange with Repair” or “Flat Exchange”. |
Exchange Entity |
The assembly or unit that is being exchanged, which could be “Top Assembly” or “Sub Assembly” |
Initiated as |
Indicates whether the exchange is an “Advance Exchange” or a “Regular Exchange”. |
Employee # |
The identification number of the employee who owns the facility object. This is mandatory if Personal is specified in the Ownership field. Help facility available. |
The following fields are displayed in the “Status Info” group box.
Exchange Order Status |
The status of the exchange order document, which could be be “Fresh”, “Canceled”, “Force Closed”, “Short Closed”, “Confirmed” or “Closed”. |
Core Status |
Indicates the status of the core, which could be “Open”, “Closed” or “Not Applicable” |
Exch. Approval Status |
Indicates the approval status of the exchange order |
Core Availability Status |
Indicates the availability status of the core part that is exchanged which could be “Available”, “Pending” or “Not Available” |
Exch. Quote Approval Status |
Indicates the status of customer approval of exchange quote |
Exch. Request Status |
Indicates whether the exchange request is satisfied or not. |
Select the “Initiating Doc. Info” tab to record the details of the initiating document.
Select the “Sourcing Info” tab to record the sourcing details of the core part.
Select the “Exchange Part Info” tab to view the details of the exchanged part.
Select the “Exchange Activity Log” tab to view the log details of the exchange activity.
Enter the following in the “Other Info” group box;

Any other remarks pertaining to the exchange. |
Click the “Confirm” pushbutton to confirm the exchange order document.
Click the “Cancel” pushbutton to cancel the exchange order document.
Click the “Short Close” pushbutton to short close the exchange order document.
Click the “Force Close” pushbutton to force close the exchange order document.
The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The login ID of the user who created the exchange order. |
Created Date |
The date and time on which the exchange order were created. |
Last Modified by |
The login ID of the user who modified the exchange order last. |
Last Modified Date |
The date and time on which the exchange order were last modified. |
Approved by |
The login ID of the user who approved the exchange order. |
Approved Date |
The date and time on which the exchange order were approved. |
Closed by |
The login ID of the user who closed the exchange order. |
Closed Date |
The date and time on which the exchange order were closed. |
